Possibly the cheapest it has been according to camels, local retail price appears to hover around $334.

This kit looks pretty handy

The stand out for me is the VDE-insulated Kraftform holder with tapered interchangeable blades (PH, PZ & TX). The Zyklop Speed ratchet, & Joker double open-end wrench are handy too.

    Bit Set $161.02

    More than a bit though…😲

Wow tempting. Too bad already have them in separate sets :(

    • That's what I was looking at, this kit groups parts of other kits together to create a pretty good bit of gear.

Ideal Kaput toolkit for the following German cars Audi BMW and Volkswagen

For anyone else that was curious and hadn't seen it before, the little red thing is a 'screw gripper'.

Is this overkill for a set just for around the house.

    • +2

The kit covers a lot of ground well for a range of tasks.

I'd probably say it boils down to if you want/ need VDE-insulated, or have a specific use case that the kit covers. As an example, one of the German cars mentioned in the comments.

If not, there's probably cheaper, more general kits out there for around the house.

I've never regretted buying good tools though.

I wanted to think this… but caved and bought it.

      No regrets.

Yeah, it's expensive, but it covers a massive amount of common tasks and is a pleasure to use.

This si the kind of thing when you go to use it for the 20th time in 4-5 years you're still very very happy with it and forgot what you paid for it.

Would i want it cheaper… damn, this is OzB, cheaper is always better.

I've just set a CCC price watch of $151 for it. I'm open to buying another for a good gift for close family.
