Aramex Delivery Issue

I have ordered a console from eBay, and the sender had sent it via Aramex last 19/02/24 Monday with tracking, my delivery states from 22-27 February.

Calling Aramex multiple days, they are unable to update me with anything because it comes from 3rd party? They said to me to contact the seller which I also did but been told to wait for the parcel.

Does this make sense so were is my parcel is it lost?

  • Today is 27 Feb 2024 so could come today.

Is there online tracking you could review with the tracking provided?

      That's all it is showing

      • We stopped using them even though they are quite often cheaper option.
In my experience their service ranged ranged from extremely good to extremely poor

They're useless. You will end up requesting a refund after they pretend to attempt deliveries then try and charge you to 'attempt' again.

Could arrive today, or, as often in my experience, receive an email with a photo of the package in someone else's letterbox with a 'package delivered' statement. Then spend days trying to retrieve it, sometimes successfully sometimes not.

last time i ordered something from metro melbourne to metro brisbane via aramex it took 7 business days… so i think you're doing alright if you get it today…

    • Posted something last week via parcel post, same result.

in my experience Aramex is probably one of the slowest couriers, they normally deliver 1-2weeks outside their tracking timeframe

  • +5

Your only just over a week since sent, in the world of Aramax this is still "on time". It's a lottery when sending with them so expect delivery sometime between today and mid June.

Seems worse than AUD post, why would some sender's use them anyway

      • +1

Because they are cheap, and there's a reason why they are cheap.

3 operators kept telling me that the parel does not come from them? But why is the tracking number for Aramex?

Aramex = every delivery is an issue. The last parcel I received through them was earlier than predicted. It also looked like it was run over by the van a few times.

  • Better to wait a few more days, perhaps until Thursday and reach out to the seller stating that you couldn't get any update on the product from Aramex (although it shouldn't be you chasing the delivery partners). If the seller keeps telling to wait another few business days, you can message them asking for the refund (unless you want to keep waiting). I've had similar case where the delivery partner was Aramex (never had good experience with them before but I didn't get to choose the delivery this time too). You can escalate it to Ebay if the seller keeps telling you to wait. In my case the seller kept asking me to wait a few days more and I kept going for another 10 days or as I wasn't in a hurry anyway but the product never arrived and I was tired of the same reply from the seller. So I escalated it to Ebay and got my refund.

  • Even my Temu 10 par els got delivered way faster!

I read the title then instantly felt sorry for OP…

    Yeah Aramex is useless.
Something should be done about it, but senders keep using them.
May eBay should ask sellers to specify which carrier they use, then we can avoid the ones using Aramex.

Ebay doesnt give a shit…. they get their commission and keep walking.

      • A number of items come from overseas in a bulk lot, then transferred to fastway locations, then picked, packed and a new label on the product.
I've had a few items sent from 1 spit island clise in mayfield west, which was their depot.

When ordering anything online, if I see they are going to use Aramex I will cancel the order and write to website customer service telling them why I won't order.
Would gladly pay more for something on another website if they avoid Aramex.

Aramex used to call themselves Fastway…
I can only assume they underwent the name change because Fastway was a complete misnomer and Slowway was unlikely to be good for business.

    • Will rebrand again in a year or two imo

  • Yep, ordered two cases of wine last month from a winery in NSW to be sent to VIC. Was gutted to see that it was sent through Aramex, based on previous OzB posts. I thought, this time will be different - nope. The cases sat in Newcastle for a week with no movement. I contacted Aramex and got a standard reply. The tracking showed movement the day after my contact, but still took another week and few days to get to Melbourne. The cases finally arrived, the second case two days after the first.

They have a 1.4 star rating from 3561 Google reviews. How they managed to get anything above 1 is beyond me!

Probably stolen by an aramax employee. They will claim its been lost.

Aramex is one of the worst experiences I ever had when I got some furniture delivered

    1. Couldn't find the doorbell to apartment so didn't deliver
    2. Lost parcel at depot or on a truck? for 3 weeks
    3. Was promised 3 separate delivery dates that went by with nothing.

    Absolute trash

  • I ordered 2 parcels last year from canberra. Parcel 1 fastway took @10-12 days. Parcel 2 ordered 5 days later took 2 days via Australia parcel post. Parcel 2 arrived first from the same supplier - Swamp. Always pay a littlle extra for auspost.

Btw I was checking tracking all the time . Fastway parcel turned up on door step before being scanned in Newcastle.

  • Not only do they deliver slow, they also leave all my parcels next to the letterbox in plain view of the street where they can be easily stolen.

    Terrible couriers.

Every on-time Aramex delivery is a miracle.

    • I think you mean…. Every Aramax delivery is a miracle. :)

  • Both aramex deliveries I’ve had has been 3 weeks delayed. By that time I’ve requested and received the refund then eventually received the product. They’re just a terrible delivery service. If I see a company use aramex up front I avoid buying through them

  • Aramex is the worst.
It's possible the sender hasn't actually sent it but created the request with aramex, I've had this happen with auspost a few times.
Or it could be sleeping somewhere in the aramex black hole.

  • Aramex 101. They’re crap. Slow, refuse to help and generally very hard to deal with.

  • Aramex is great for Amazon orders. Due to living in "Regional" QLD the delivery process is anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks. So half the time I end up getting refunded due to a lost parcel and 2 days later it is delivered. They must have a trigger in their system to not use Aramex for a while after a refund and use Auspost for a few weeks. Then Aramex usage slowly creeps back until another parcel goes missing and cycle begins again.
If I am ordering outside of Amazon and the business uses Aramex, I will avoid like the plague as it seems these packages do get lost on purpose.

    IMPATIENT what?

  • Aramex is slow. They also handle a lot of dropshipping, so a lot of times the product isn't even in the country yet even if the tracking indicates it might be.
2 to 3 week wait for their deliveries is not uncommon though.

  • Nothing abnormal here. Aramex is awful and should have whatever licence to deliver cancelled as they rarely deliver… Only sender can contact them before they leave you a "We missed you" card.

  • Just arrived via Aramex, a box of cheap Snickers bars I bought on eBay for a friend. They are all melted & flattened. They look like wrapped bars of shit. Plus, the seller could've attempted to put them into more rigid box. Now have to have a whinge to the seller.

Aramex, say no more. Never had a good experience when an online retailer chooses to use them to send my package. Most horrendous couriers ever. I dread it when I find out my package is coming via them.
