        I'd say the button stops working after it's sold out. The iPhone app seems to be heaps faster than the site. I got up to the payment page before it came up with no stock

      Believe it or not, COTD are not giving much away at all (especially expensive items); they are only clearing the stock nobody wants. Its all just a publicity stunt…who knows what happens behind the scenes…

          I add to cart.. i go to checkout .. its sold out.. all in a matter of 3-4 seconds.. 30 deals.. same thing.. this is a scam no human being can buy in 3-4 seconds with how slow the website is.

          precisely my point-if it's so slow how can 5 people get the tv/iphone/3ds etc and checkout in like 5 seconds?! if the site is slow it's slow for everyone right? or does the site randomly pick 5 people and give them express checkout speed?
          this is a competition as far as i'm concerned, but there are no rules like in a real competition where they need to get approval numbers and the process can be scrutinized, here they get away with it because they "charge" you 1 cent for shipping, so it's considered a "sale"!

    I'm posting as LMG on WP, I have links to screengrab of invoice for LEGO Star Wars for proof (not really though, since anyone semi-clever with HTML can fake it).

    Forget doing via the web. You have to use their iPhone app to do it, it's the only way (or there is a HTML page floating around that allows you to quickly add stuff to carts, enter your CC details … but you need to know or guess the item ID first).

        it was pretty much exactly on par for what i thought it would be. it also ended up exactly where i assumed it would which is why i stopped by the bin to open it before bothering to take it inside :)

        the fact it didnt even work just made it all that more satisfying

          just like this COTD item, that was simply a throw away comment and if i was serious i wouldnt have been asking on OZB and the watch wouldnt still be at the bottom of my bin somewhere :)
