Neon Genesis Evangelion ran from 1995 - 1996 and is credited with the big global spread of Japanese animation due to the popularity of the series. The original TV series led to a rebirth of the anime industry and has become a cultural icon. It is the 25th anniversary of the broadcast of the series.

I paid $75 for this shit over a year ago, and yes A Cruel Angel's Thesis is the opening track, and there's 2 versions of Fly Me To The Moon.

      I tried re-watching the show a couple of years ago, it's amazing the level of crap we put up with back in the day. Shinji has to be one of the worst written characters in anime and that's saying something.

      legend says they ran out of funding for animation towards the end due to all the money spent on 'fly me to the moon' covers

    Eva stuff tends to be overly priced so this is a decent enough merch that I can own. Besides who can say no to playing A Cruel Angel's Thesis on repeats lol

    Got this a while back at USD$30, but still missed out on the purple/green eva01 pressed editions. The pink one is pretty wild though. And still end up listening to the streamed version instead of actually putting this on a turntable….
