Does Australia Have Any Graphics Cards with Warranties Exceeding 3 Years?

I'm originally from Taiwan, where most graphics cards come with a 5-year warranty.

However, it seems that here in Australia, warranties are limited to 3 years. Are there any graphics cards available with warranties exceeding 3 years?

If not, I might consider asking my big brother to buy one and send it here… although if I encounter any issues requiring it to be sent back to Taiwan, I still think it's worth it.

Gigabyte give you 4 years if you register specific models: https://global.aorus.com/event-detail.php?i=764

Double check it applies to AU as well even though there's no exclusion in T&Cs.

    • Nice! Thanks a lot.

    Learn your consumer rights

    • Learn how difficult in practice it sometimes is to enforce those right.

      Hello, LG!

    • While I know my rights and most people on here knows about warranty and what's reasonable (I hope)

Claiming something out of warranty is the biggest headache, especially when dealing with resellers.

Buying extended warranty or buying a product with longer warranty will save so much headache in the long run.

I had a $4k Sony tv that died after 3.5 years and I had 5 years extended warranty, Harvey Norman replaced it with a subjectively better Samsung TV, no questions asked. If I didn't have extended warranty, I could have made a complaint to the ACCC blah blah blah, but you think HN or Sony would have helped? Nope. Sometimes it's better in the long-run just to save yourself time and headache and money.

    Ok còol.

  • I don't care about warranties, mostly buying used. My current card is an ex-miner 3090 which I got for $1300 back then, couldn't simply afford a brand new card which needed for my studies (DL).
