Highland Park 18 Year Old 700ml with Free Glenfarclas Heritage 700ml Single Malt Scotch Whisky $299 Delivered @ Nicks

80

HP18 is a great dram, a huge step up from the 12. Glenfarclas Heritage is whatever; I've never even heard of it, but probably drinkable.

You can get HP18 by itself for about $250 from other stores if you don't want the Glenfarclas. I paid about $150 a decade ago. If you buy the bundle and actually deduct $80 to make it $220, then it's a great deal for fans of the Orkney distillery (although there are quite a few IBs in the 17yo range for about the same price)

Thanks for the post OP..I'll ponder.. Heh heh.

Always enjoyed the drop from that region and always been a fan of highland Park.
    Only ever tried the 10 & 12.
Have a surplus of the 10 when Dans had them on clearance. I just checked and the 12 is on sale for $102..wtf.

I love HP18. I'll never forget tasting it in 2013. Wasn't able to buy one again after that (I got married). Might be a good time to have one on the shelf again after years of settling in with Aldi whiskeys and 20% off Red Labels in the last few years lol.

You've sacrificed too much my fellow OzBargainer.

      Buy it…you deserve it…

    • What are Aldi whiskey's like? I've never been brave enough to part with my hard earned money to give them a go!

"And I would do anything for love,
I'd run right into hell and back…"

  • I'm amazed people think there is a good Highland Park. I'm curious to try but via events not a whole bottle.

I used to get HP very heavily discounted through work and also sampled at whisky events. It always disappointed at any price. Consistently smells like ethanol on the nose and has barely any substance on the palette

HP is probably not for you. What are your distilleries of choice?

I am quite surprised you think it smells like ethanol. What do you typically drink?
