Should probably pop a warning that you don't typically go through these very fast. I bought a couple deals last year, next thing I know I have 10L of foaming hand wash…

if you are single then yes, you go through this pretty slow. but if you and your big family have a house with a few bathrooms and powder rooms to place the dispensers, things might be different.

      • +3

yeah right. Especially when kids love to take 4-5 pumps each time because, mountain of foam.

That's more pumps than my wife gets…

and then without actually rubbing and cleaning their hands they turn on the tap and wash it down the sink.

        • Mine too! We go through a fair bit for that reason!

      • +1

I use to buy these ones, but now I buy the soap and dilute it myself.

Finding that it lasts much much longer.

    • My bathroom dispenser lasts a week and it's mostly just me using it lol.

    • Just checked and I bought the deal for 3 for $9.85 in July and still have one bottle left.. been using nothing else in the meanwhile. Dilute it heavily, of course

Thanks. Just in time as mine running low.

  • Nice, should be good for a few more months easily.

For those will non foaming soap dispensers, saw Aldi has soap refill 3 litre refill pump packs for $7.49.

I prefer the lime. Think the smell is too strong on cherry blossom.

    • There's something wrong with the cherry blossom one. I loved the smell initially but after the overpowering smell on my hands after hours, I can't use it again

      • +1

thats what i thought with the lime, now i like the cherry blossom

        • I just mix water with the soap refill from Aldi, they all smell quite nice

    • i actually use both, believe or not, at different places then.

      • I like the cherry blossom, but not at full strength, too pongy

price match of Chemist warehouse? Theyre selling 4.24 each

    • +1

that must be why amazon lowered the price on this one. it had been $17 something for a while.

  • If you S&S, does the lower price stay the same forever?

    • Nope. Only a discount of whatever it is at the time of automatic reorder.

  • Lime and Mint just joined the deal as well.

  • thanks, now I need a foam dispenser, any leads?

I rate the ones on Aliexpress (I got it for $12 if you wait for a special holiday), it's rechargeable and you can adjust 4 speeds. I tried the battery ones before and after a year it just rusted in the battery compartment. But this one has lasted about 1.5 years, charge holds pretty long as well

Edit : can't seem to paste aliexpress links as it just flags as referral. If you look on Aliexpress, it's the square white one with a black strip in the middle with a fingerprint sensor for about $16/17 https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/126302/110835/screensh…

      • That's really helpful thanks mate

        • +1

Hey I don't know if you got one yet but if you search on Aliexpress, the Choice listing for this is $12.38 with free shipping :)

Aldi has 500ml refill of foaming hand wash (3 different scents, don't remember the name of the scents) for $1.69. Per my calculation $1.69 x 2 x 3 = $10.14 - cheaper than Amazon and certainly don't need to buy in bulk upfront

  • Is this good against grease and oil residue from food? I’ve tried few other brands and they’re absolute shit.

    • I dilute these to about 1/3 strength and find at that concentration they're not quite as good as a cake of soap, but good enough

      • I thought these should not be diluted 😨

        • Nooo, it's fine. No household soap will render your hands entirely germ free, this just does a good enough job. They still foam and they still have enough surfactant to do the job with a bit of food grease

You can buy the 1L refills from Aldi for $1.99. Better smelling too.

    • I don't think the foaming ones are a litre (only 500ml), but they are $1.99

      • $1.69 actually

  • so this may be a rookie question, but why do you need to specifically buy "foaming" version? can you not just water down the normal handwash refills? (sorry if this is a silly question)

I have a 'manual" foaming soap dispenser https://www.pleasantstate.com/collections/triggers-pumps/pro…
Can I use these refills for these?

    Thanks!

    • Yes. Foaming hand wash solution is basically normal handwash + a lot of water. Sometimes its a bit finicky to get the "perfect" foam, but cant beat the cost aspect.

  • Are these less likely to clog drains unlike soap and scum?
