LG 55" OLED evo G3 4K Smart TV (2023) $2795 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Harvey Norman

60

Not many of these bad boys left circulating the wild so this might be your last chance to snag one before the G4 arrives. Yes, it's a bit exy for a 55" TV but not when you look at what Sony is asking for the A95L. Would I spend ~$700 more for this over the C3? Without a doubt.

  • Not many of these bad boys left

    how many?

    • Not sure about the exact numbers @jv but going by the HN stock checker, there are very few stores in the country with stock. JB, TGG, Bing Lee, VideoPro, Appliances Online, and Appliance Central no longer have stock of the 55".

        Where is that?

Underneath the ADD TO CART button > Find In Store. I entered all the major cities post codes.

            @[Deactivated]: thanks…

I thought maybe there was a website, like the Bunnings one that lists stock in all stores in one place.

            • @jv: Oh no sorry, that would be so handy though. Youinstock should implement more stores.

            • @jv: yeah, the one hosted in india.

I should've pulled the trigger when the 65" was just under $3k last week. Un-buyers regret 😭

    • Yeah, that was a cracking price.

    • I was so tempted but I'd have to do finance and no way I'm dealing with Leakitude Finance again.

65" G3 was only $2956 3 weeks ago at JB. Would I be walking in Harvey and paying $2800 for the 55" right now? Not a chance.

    • Not only does it depend on if you require a 65" TV, but no one knows if it'll even get to that price again before stock dries up.

I admit to 2 biases in my comment. 1. 55" is too small for me so yes I don't consider 55" a worthwhile purchase. 2. Harvey Norman isn't a company I'll ever give money to again.

Totally agree, this is nothing Special. Deal Wise.

      • Thanks for your opinion.

I love me some evo, but is it worth almost $1K more than the Samsung S95C.

For some yes, but could get a Samsung Q990C on sale near that price with the saving.

You're absolutely right, this may be a lot of money for some people but at the same time, the 55" A95L has completely sold out at a price tag over $5,000 LOL. We don't all value TV's the same way I suppose.

        • Is the A95L a lot better than this?

          • @jv: Only "slightly" according to RTINGS: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-a95l-oled-vs-lg…
I still to this day cannot comprehend who in their right mind just casually walked into a store with a straight face and dropped that much money on a 55" TV, but, these people clearly exist and drank a cup of the old sales rep cool-aid. This was the only sale we are aware of and it was still ridiculously expensive: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/813521

            • @[Deactivated]: I paid about $3,500 for my Sony Triniton CRT… I think it was 34"

@jv: Yeah, TV prices were absurd during that time compared to what we pay today. Advancements made in the manufacturing process have made it easier to compete, thus driving down prices in the market. That and there are a lot more companies now forcing healthy competition.

@[Deactivated]: It still has it's benefits… Used at our holiday house.

It is impossible to steal. Would require 3-4 adults to lift….

@jv: Absolutely, those things just keep on going. Haha that's so true, it makes me wonder how we ever unboxed those bloody things.

  • would they go on a run out sale when the G4 comes out or they wait to they sell out?
