Wish the camera is good enough to buy the phone.

What you taking photos of? Your salad for lunch? If so, don’t. Ignore the camera. Use the phone to call loved ones instead. Godspeed.

      • +19

loved ones: "What are you up to? Why don't you post photos on instagram anymore?"

"How is my grandson doing? Last few pictures you can barely see him running around just like the flash!"

        • +3

posted pictures of my grandson in prison getting tattoos … hope his finks membership doesn't expire before he gets out.

Ignore the camera. Use the phone to call loved ones

I use it to take photos of my loved ones.

      • +2

If phone takes crap photos you look at the photos in the future and have buyers regret.

    • +3

From what I've seen the main sensor (especially with optical image stabilisation) is totally fine for everyday use. It's no iPhone 15 Pro, but it's also about 80% cheaper. can't expect miracles.

    Sinking like crypto

  • Note: the Blue has a Vegan Leather Back Cover while the Black has a Plastic Back Cover

    • So they both have a plastic back cover then? Just the blue one is a soft touch plastic vs hard back on the black?

      • -1

So they both have a plastic back cover then?

No, it's vegan. Vegans can eat it. Can you eat plastic? No.

        • -2

Mmmm, delicious phones! Maybe vegans eating blue G54's are why they look so unhealthy!

Now whenever I see someone in public with this phone I'm just going to assume they're an OzBer

    • Here for my attendance

    • We need a special design OzBers orange with your choice of:

      • high yield investment

      Or

      • bikies

      On the back panel

  • There are 2 shades of blue no black, which blue is vegan leather and which is just plastic ?

    • Indigo blue is the vegan leather

      • yeah but on the options it just says blue…..

  • does this phone have good battery life as a 5g hotspot? will it work with esim app like airalo?

Is this phone making any profit

    • +1

Maybe not, could be part of Motorola's strategy to become a bigger player in the market.

    • +1

Is this phone making any profit

It would need to register as a business first

There seems to be an abundance of stock. As soon as a store is out, I've noticed it's replenished within a few days. I guess they weren't selling as well as they anticipated at RRP. The same applies to the G84.

I decided to pull the trigger with Harvey Norman this morning. They say the early bird catches the worm but they also say only fools rush in. Luckily, I spend way too much on UberEats anyway and undersell my property by like 50k, so I can shrug it off.

    • Some would say buying anything from scumbag HN. They are the winners in this case

      • I was up early trying to get the Officeworks site working on all browsers, but it just wouldn't. Meanwhile, something inside was worried that the phones on HN would sell out, and I'd miss out.

I've been waiting for so long for enough money to get a new phone, and I've been planning on getting an LG V60 on Ebay, from the USA to avoid sending money to China and when this offer popped up I decided to be wise and not invest in an old phone no longer supported by a company who's left the mobile sector.

Postage was $7.50 with HN. A bunch of companies ended up price matching the next on eBay, and I'm an eBay plus member too. With a bunch of voucher codes. It's always the way.

  • Dropping everywhere. I saw it was $199 at JB and thought "Kewl! But let's check OzB first"…and here we are, $187.

Getting one as a "don't care if it gets nicked" travel phone, so the lower the better.

  • I have this phone. It's good but you definitely pay
a convenience tax with the software bugs.

  • You could get this phone for 164$ if you have got 30$ offf voucher from goodguys.

    • Only in-store I believe.

      • Live chat agent was able to apply the voucher for me but ymmv as others haven't been so lucky. $164 + $4 delivery

        • Thanks for the tip. Got it via phone chat. Adding to cart came up as $299 (error), so rep manually processed the $30 voucher and revised the cart price. Used up 3 x $5 snackback vouchers too. $152. Sweet !

        • Does this voucher last till the 3rd march as might give it a go

    • How do you get a voucher?

      • It was targetted voucher sent to user's mobile number as text message.

  • How’s gaming performance on this?

  • Is this model being cleared out?

JB, Amazon, OW, TGG, HN/Domayne, Mobilecite all have it for $19x.

    • It was only released 4 months ago.

  • Thanks this will be my tinder phone

  • I am not able to use the esim from lebara and amaysim, is this normal?

  • -1

Good price, bad company to deal with post sale

    1. Is there an easy way to determine what bands the Australian model uses?
    2. Is there a good tool to find out which overseas network it'll work best on?
  • +1

If it had dual physical sims I would purchase just for the sake of it.

For those who have Everyday Extra or can do a 30 day free trial, the G54 is even cheaper using the 10% off one shop every month, $179.10 delivered. https://www.bigw.com.au/product/motorola-g54-5g-midnight-blue/p/399978

    • Hmm, listed at $299, so $270 after the 10%…

Or is there something I'm missing?

      • Expired yesterday.

        • Sheeeeesh…

People keep telling me I'm a bit slow.

  • Thanks got it for the inlaws, price matched at office works 180. 20 bux off.

Seemed to studder but most likley caused by their 12mbps internet while they were streaming movies….will be fine for them.

  • Dang, literally bought this two days ago for $230 from Mobileciti eBay store! Now contemplating going through the hassle of returning so I can save $50 :(
