TP-Link 16-Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Switch - Sturdy Metal w/ Shielded Ports, Unmanaged (TL-SG116) | AU Version

  • Gigabit Ports For Faster Speeds - Increase the speed of your network with the TL-SG116 16-port Gigabit desktop switch. Non-blocking, 16 10/100/1000Mbps ports enable instant transferring of large, bandwidth intensive files without interference.
  • Plug and Play - A plug-and-play design makes for easy deployment without the need for a technician. Auto-negotiation on each port senses the link speed of a network device and intelligently adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Go Green with Your Ethernet - Power consumption automatically adjusts according to the link status and cable length, allowing you to expand your network while minimizing your carbon footprint. Save the planet and lower your energy bills — it’s a win-win!

The closest I have seen is CentreCom @ $105 delivered (but they also have a surchage for payments)

The AU version is being sold by Amazon Germany?

    • Yeah like wut? Exact same thought I had upon speed reading lol

    • I'd like to think someone accidentally sent a shipment of Australian SKU's to Austria, but I'd really just caution people to be careful about what power brick they send instead.

Although a 12V 1A centre positive shouldn't be too hard to replace if they send you the wrong one. (Or return it, or use an adapter…)

I don't think so. Amazon would redirect that shipment to Australia if that's the case. It would probably be cheaper than giving out free air freight international deliveries for a whole pallet of Ethernet switches with the items shipped individually than what it would cost to ship the whole pallet shipment to Australia in bulk.

This is guaranteed to be the UK or EU model which has accidentally been listed on the AU version page. It's an error.

I think there's a mistake. They won't have the AU version being shipped from Amazon Germany. There's no reason for the AU model being held at a warehouse in Europe. It will be an EU version with an EU power adapter.

Correct link to the AU version (shipped from Amazon AU) but it's $119.

You're better off paying a few dollars more to get the legit AU model from Centrecom. Guaranteed to have an AU power adapter.

The last deal had an 8-port for under $22.

Given this has no 'extra' features like PoE, 2.5Gbe or even a single faster uplink port, this is absolutely not a deal.

Less rack space (plus it comes with rack mount brackets), just needs a single power cord, and has a better processor/more RAM. There's a very good reason why people don't just buy multiple smaller switches.

Having said that, this is quite a jump in price for home users who may not value those features.

Yes, but TP Link has stopped that sale. All their small switches and Access Points all went up on Feb 28th.

Bought this 2 weeks ago and it arrived last week. It came with an EU adapter. Called Amazon about it and they said they would happily refund me if I send it back to them. I didn’t bother and just kept it.

I asked them to fix the description. I looks like they haven’t done anything to it yet.

  • Its now $97.27 and CentreCom is now $117. I can confirm it comes with an EU Adaptor. If you have a spare adapter, then you won't have a problem.

It's been reduced to $88.69 with free delivery for prime - just purchased !

    • As per the comments above, comes with an EU adaptor though. Still $89 delivered is good.
