This phone is like a better version of Motorola E13 since it has 90Hz screen and good for someone whose budget is only $100 or under. It's a durable solid phone, big battery usually means long battery life. It's also great to be used as a spare phone.

It's locked to Optus so would be great if you already were using Optus / Amaysim / Dodo or any other networks who are using Optus network. It can be unlocked for $25 after 6 months, free to unlock if the cumulative recharge was more than $80.

The Unisoc T606 is powerful enough for every day tasks and playing popular games like clash royale, COC or brawl stars…etc.

Anyway, if budget allowed, Moto G54 was no doubt "the most best value for money" choice.

Features:
*Unisoc T606
*64GB 4GB RAM
*6.5" 90Hz Max Vision HD+ display
*16 MP AI enabled triple camera system
*5000mAh battery
*Side fingerprint reader and face unlock.

    No 5G == landfill

    • Um, some areas only have 4G.

Problem is that carriers are phasing out 3g (vodafone already did) and they are not improving the existing 4g coverage.

A 4g only phone at certain area means a limited access (if not no access at all) to the mobile service.

I use a 4g only phone (iphone SE 2020) and currently with vodafone, about half of the of time I do not have mobile service at workplace (SOS only, or 1 bar of signal).

If I were to purchase a new phone, I will definitely buy a phone with 5g receiption.

        • I am using a $69 Nokia G21 and the reception is so good even tho it's using Unisoc T606 on 4G+ network.

@Raguel: Nice to hear that you have a good reception.

I am just not as lucky.

@seele0717: The cheapest 5G smartphone right now is on Amaysim website for only $209 if you needed one.

          • @Raguel: typical strawman fallacy

        • thats correct! few understands this and defends buying 4G option.. without understanding why all the companies are clearing shelves :P

I do need to replace my dads Nokia phone for something new as the 3G network is shutting off.. This might do it…

    • Ooof. Dad's worth - $100<

        Guy has a Nokia for a reason…

  • Only android 11? Going to be obsolete soon. G14 upgrade to 14 only. $50 more

    • They usually will provide at least two Android updates. Really? My G14 is still on Android 13. G14 is now more expensive tho.

  • I have this phone. Bluetooth connectivity is awful. Drops a lot. Otherwise an ok phone for the price.

  • Wait for Motorola G54 sales & may be $200 & UN-lock.
