Hey Folks,

Hope March has started well for everyone :)

Wow, thanks so much for your support on our last deal. So great to see people are enjoying our espresso options from Atypical and Market Lane.

Super happy to announce that Atypical are offering a very tasty espresso roast from a famous producer in Colombia - Wilton Benitez Granja Paraiso. Very balanced and perfectly suited with our without milk.

We've also done some fiddling around with our packaging and are excited to release this coffee and the Candid blend in 4kg packs for those who split with friends/family or buy for the office.

And before anyone thinks we don't love our filter friends, we've also got a Natural from Riverdale in India and a Washed from Luz Helena in Colombia.

Ok, that's it for coffee news! Now onto the more exciting news - logistics :D

New process - 'Expedited dispatch'
We've been trying to rejig our processes to speed up dispatch. Part of this has been automating a whole range of manual processes on the back end which has saved me a heap of time (yew!). We're hoping to reintroduce a second dispatch day each week however we aren't quite ready for that. In the meantime, we've been hassling suppliers to get us the coffee earlier. This leads us to the interim solution we're introducing 'Expedited dispatch'.

To begin, we'll be starting with orders that only contain Atypical and are being sent via Auspost. Orders will be picked up by Auspost on Wednesday (03/04) afternoon. You don't need to do anything different or leave comments - if your order only contains Atypical we'll assume you want it dispatched ASAP.

Important note, if your order contains multiple brands of coffee it will be picked up on Friday by Auspost as per usual. Also, if your address is eligible for local delivery your order will still be delivered by GoPeople on Saturday morning.

      So glad to hear you enjoyed Candid last time :) The blend is made up of a natural Brazilian which gives it the body and oomph, while the washed Colombian is what makes it tasty and interesting (Nothing personal against those who enjoy Brazilian coffees!) - someone once described these kind of Colombians as the salt on a meal - it just makes everything pop! So if you enjoyed that blend, I can't see how you wouldn't enjoy the Wilton with milk :)

    Thanks, ordered again as the Candid was tasty. Super quick courier delivery is great.

    Extra points for using paper bags which can be recycled and not plastic or foil. Split the 1kg in to airtight containers, freeze, happy days (and days of coffee).

      Couldn’t love this more on all fronts! It’s interesting seeing more and more of our other suppliers also adopting the sealable Detpak bags. Hopefully everyone gets on board with it :)

      Yes, it does require a little more work at home but it is a bit overkill for every retail bag to act as a reusable container.

    Third order for me, the faster shipping last round was noticeable. The Atypical Candid is rock solid for a strong milk based. And the flavours do come through!

    I rock a Moka pot (Brikka), so I ordered both a filter (light) and espresso (dark) roast to see which suits best.
