Cheapest this has been since early December 2023.

Was $0.16 cheaper at $20 in June 2023 before that, but I'm willing to pay the price given the rising cost of living. I've been happy with the product itself, it's better than the cheaper Kmart alternative but not as wet as say WaterWipes (also not as expensive!). All subjective of course.

On a side note, how does 'Baby' not get its own category on the deal dropdown list! I've gone with 'Toys & Kids' but it doesn't seem right to me.

  • With s&s.. can you just choose it for one purchase on this product alone, then disable it to prevent ongoing? Or is there a time period you have to keep it for

    • +4

You can immediately delete the subscription as long as you've gotten an order confirmation.

I usually set them for 6 months then delete them in batches.

    • +5

I cancel my subscriptions straight after purchasing and I have never had any drama.

    • +1

They say they try to cancel subscription all items not in shipping so I wait to get shipped notification then cancel. Have had issues before where I cancelled shortly after ordering and it cancelled the entire order

      • From memory, when you try to cancel immediately, they give you a warning message that it may cancel any orders in progress as well.

    Mmm, thick babies.

  • Are these considered good or on par compared to the water wipes? I’m going to need buying some of these in the next couple of months and would love some advice. Also if anyone recommends a good baby monitor that has a screen and an app. I was looking at the cuboi but it doesn’t have a seperate screen and solely relies on the app

    • +1

We prefer these to water wipes.

Cubo is great but remember anything with an app is connected to the web and at risk in some way. We had the cubo and although great I had all my notifications turned off within the first 2months as if I went to work I kept getting no baby detected notifications or whatever moment he got picked up from his bassinet or cot. We sold ours (bought the 3 mounts kit and only paid like 260 or something new) ended up replacing with a vtech bm7750hd-2. No app (intentional choice but a lot of vtech have apps also just not sure I trust them that much lol) we have 2 cameras and a decent 7” screen very happy with it for our needs. I’m glad we had cubo for the first few months but not after like 6months.

Thank you so much for taking the time to offer your advice and suggestions! This is a new world for me I'm about to enter, so this is super helpful!

I have use these for 2 babies and they have been great. They arent 100%water, but we havent had any irritation problems. Main thing is to make sure thry are fully dry after a wipe.

For a monitor - we have the uniden ones that have an app and monitor - the 6141.
There are sometimes deals on the uniden ebay site that make them reasonable. Their retail price is ridiculous

      • Thanks so much @allthethings, really appreciate the recommendation!

        • If you made of money get a Snoo@@ is worth it !! haha and Cubo AI is really good. You dont need the susbscription for cubo AI.or snoo haha

But yeah we got Cubo 3 years ago and about o have 2nd and we have had no issues, its portable and clibs to most beds etc.

I had a monitor but quickly switched to the app on phone as i could see it anywhere. Cant talk about uniden but i have heard good things.

          • @s779881: SNOO was great as we got one on black friday promo and got it for 1100 and sold it for 1100 6months later :D

            • +1

@quikstix: 100% what we did! were going without one for baby 2 so…. so ill know the difference haha

    • We prefer water wipes to these mostly because these dont seem to have the same wiping effectiveness. These were pretty dry compared to Curash. So we had to work a lot harder to clean bubs poop which left him red and uncomfortable.

These dont have the same additive (i forget the name) that curash has, so if you do get wet wipes, dont let bub suck on the wipe.

Thanks for the super important and helpful tip @Sir Flabo

I’m going to need buying some of these in the next couple of months

If you're having a baby then you'll be buying wipes for the next 10 years.

Ive tried Huggies, Curash, Kleenex and Mamia (Aldi) over the years, and prefer Huggies. IMO they're stronger and 'wetter'. They're a usually more expensive so I'll stock up whenever they're on sale.

      • Thanks so much @Munkeyalan for the advice!

        • Costco normally has these packs for $25 each so this is a great deal

    • For us it would be:
      1. Kirkland Wetwipes: Quite wet, cleans well and smooth - $$
      2. Water wipes: Very wet, cleans very well and super smooth, but $$$
      3. Huggies: Quite wet, cleans decently and cheaper, but not smooth on baby's skin (it's hard to explain it but if you have used Kirkland or Waterwipes, then Huggies don't seem to slide smoothly on our baby's skin) and has caused rash if you don't dry the skin completely, which has never been an issue with other brands.

Regarding CuboAi, it gives you peace of mind as the rolling or face covered functions work very well (during the first month our baby had managed to unwrap himself and had the wrap covering his nose and we were so glad to have received a notification). The video and sound are great, but it's lacking customisation. For example, the "Rolling and Face covered Detection" should be called "Rolling, Face Covered and Child Missing Detection", because everytime you pick you the baby from the cot, you get a notification, which is infuriating when you are trying to get the baby to sleep in the middle of the night and keep getting notification waking up everyone.

      • Hi @Joyeuse, thanks so so much for such a comprehensive list of advice and recommendations! This is so helpful, i really appreciate it. I've got 3 months to prepare for a world of 'new stuff' i'm beginning to learn about. Prams, cots, car seats, wipes, forumals, sanitisers, it doesn't end lol

      • Huggies have a texture on them which we find helps remove poop and all other sticky things :D no rashes from them and bubs has sensitive skin

The others we have tried (both the ones you mentioned and agreed they smooth but found it didnt clean messes as well or you needed more wipes)

    • We use both huggies and water wipes.

My kid has pretty bad eczema so nappy change with anything other than Water wipes irritates it. Since water wipes are more expensive, we use Huggies for everything else which was the only other brand that seemed to not irritate his skin for us.

Been using the Cubo for 2 years and it have liked all it's features. We have a Google Nest Hub as a display and sometimes keep a tablet around. Haven't had wifi connectivity issues with it.
We did have an issue where the camera didn't turn on at all after a year and a bit. Played the "Under Australia Consumer Law, reasonable timeframe, regardless of the manufacturer's warranty timeframe" card and got a free replacement.
FYI, it doesn't stream/work without internet

      • What about huggies purified water wipes?

        • Even with the huggies purified water caused irritation. It must some ingredient other wipes use that triggers his skin. It's fine for my bubs hands, feet and face though.

      • Would you mind providing more details of how you managed to get the replacement? Mine also won't turn on and they keep saying I need to send it to get repaired at a cost of about $100USD

        • +1

Depends on how long you have had it for I think. Mine broke at 18 months

          My experience:
          1. I put in a support ticket
          2. went though all the troubleshooting steps
          3. they recommended a repair (USD$45 to USD$100) or replacement with a refurb
          4. i responded as below:
Thank you for your response and help so far.

Will the replacement refurbishment be free of cost?

Under Australia Consumer Law, if a product you purchased has stopped working within a reasonable timeframe and it's considered a major failure, you could be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund, regardless of the manufacturer's warranty. I believe it's reasonable to expect the cuboAI to last longer than 18 months. It is only 6 months outside of warranty and the cuboAI has had a major failure. I am looking for a more fair resolution.
          5. they escalated internally and responded back:
          The refurbished cost $120.00 AUD.

However, we totally understand your point so we've escalated the matter internally to our team, along with the details of what happened and laid it on the table.
After careful deliberations, our team has come up with a decision to provide you a one-time exemption at this time. lease note that as this is a "one-time courtesy", this offer may not be available to others or may only be exclusive to you and that it means that we are going beyond what was originally stipulated on our policy. It is only given at this exact one-time only as a gesture of goodwill from us. 🙂
          6. I filled out the RMA form they sent
          7. Sent back my broken cubo
          8. Waited about a 6 weeks for the refurb to arrive (they didn't have refurb stock apparently)

          • +1

            @purplepinapple: Thanks heaps!

I was close to sending it back for repair at my expense but gave it a last shot by adapting your message and guess what? They've agreed to sending me the free refurb unit! Thanks for your help!

      • Hi @purplepinapple, thanks so much for taking the time to reply with your experience and advice! i really appreciate it!

    • +1

I read somewhere on the internet (not a great start to a reply, but at the time I thought it a trust worthy source with good evidence) that you have to be extra careful with water wipes compared to other brands.

Water wipes by design have little or zero antibacterial ingredient so when you're changing your baby any germs you pick up on your own hands can easily be transferred into the packet, potentially contaminating the wipes in the pack. Because the pack is then re-sealed, it provides a damp and dark environment for bacteria to thrive.

If the wipes are not easily pickable and you have to stick your fingers in the packet to get the next wipe you are potentially causing this contamination.

Water wipes also must be used quickly once you open the packet, for the same reason.

I haven't had a problem with them personally but this is something I have been aware of since before my daughter was born and I have been extra careful.

      • Hi @APD2022, thanks for this advice! This makes so much sense and is so important. You have activated extra caution, to be mindful of potential germs on my own hands when using wipes, great call. Thank you!

  • sold out?

    • Looks like it

    • seems back in stock / selectable again now

  • Has Amazon stopped stocking the refills?

    • +1

I've only been able to get the cucumber refills lately. They're not as awful as they sound.

    • Haven't seen them listed in years. The only place I can find it cheaper is Aldi special buys at $15.

  • Thanks. Ordered, cheaper than the half price at woolies/coles the other week

  • just use bigw's one! much easier to take out~

    • If needed, tie a rubber band across the opening? Never had issues with any brands that way.

      • i tear a smaller hole then its poor perforated oval guide

  • Back in stock (10:40 AEDT). Just ordered.

  • Back in stock, just ordered as well.

  • +1

Back in stock (11 AEDT), thanks OP

  • still in stock BTW

  • Thanks OP, ordered. Btw, relevant username.

Tried many brands, and so far I think Kmart ones has best value and easier to use. $8 for 480 pack.

    • have you tried Thankyou wipes, they're the best I've used by far, Very large wipes so you get 2-4x use compared to others. they never rip either! $14 for 240.

The huggies brand rips easily, poop on my hands

    • +1

Thanks for the tip, I picked up some anko ones to evaluate. Cheers.

  • Perfer Rascal and friend's ones, I find the huggies one break too easily and not as wet. Anyone else finding the same?

  • S&S without price is $18.18

I think I saw the individual packs on offer for 1/2 price about a month go at Coles

    Does anyone remember the price

  • I'm getting $18.14 with S&S. (Yes, I have prime)
