Bendo is closing down. I’d say they’re normally overpriced but these seem to be quite good prices now. I own the wine rack, banana holder and fruit bowl and I’m very happy with the quality.

I know it seems like a wank but banana hangers apparently promote air circulation enabling ethylene gas to move away from the bananas so they ripen more slowly. Is the science sound? I don’t know but I have noticed my bananas last longer since I purchased my wanky banana hanger!

Nah, just copied from the first google search when searching "does hanging bananas make them last longer?". We were throwing them away all the time so I had been googling what to do. Apparently you can also wrap the ends of them to stop the ethylene releasing

Separate your bananas & give them good ventilation.
Wrapping stems is said to also work to slow ripening.
Rather than group them together (on a hanger).
Have a few bunches almost ready to harvest just outside. Those will be hung in cool well ventilated shed (only time they are hung), then as hands ripen - be brought inside & separated.
