Zinus QuickLock Bed Frame - SB $94.95, KSB DB QB $109.95, KB $139.95 + Delivery Only @ Zinus via Bunnings Marketplace

170

Hey guys, if you have subscribed to Bunnings newsletter you would have seen this bed being featured on their newsletter last Saturday, with $109.95 + Delivery for Queen size bed, this is close to all time low (previous all time low was $116.10 delivered and that's before inflation hit us all hard), this price is running for 2 weeks and I don't see it getting this low again for a while.

If you asked me why should you get this bed, check below:
  • I personally owned 2 of these at my place, and the underbed storage is something that you can't ignore (it's spacious! My kids love playing hide and seek under the bed too)
  • It is easy to assemble, took me less than 1 hour to assemble 2 of this.
  • It is one of the top selling beds on Bunnings (Bunnings team told me that)
  • It is also one if our top selling beds across the company.

So get it while it's still in stock, this product comes and go really quickly and our demand planner will hate me for posting the deal here because it will ruin his demand planning, but why not? :)

Again feel free to leave a comment or send us message if you have any question, I'll try my best to answer them all.

Thanks

I am not sure why, as a rep of the company, you're not pushing the same frame on Amazon that's the same price, but has free delivery. And gets delivered 4-5 days sooner (to my postcode).

On Amazon it's also sold and delivered by you.

Seems weird, but you do you.

  • What is the slat spacing on these? It looks quite wide from the pictures and I’m guessing would void some mattress sag warranties.

    • Hi GoodToKnow,

The slat spacing for this bed is 15cm.

Also some additional information provided by our product team: All the slats that we have on our beds are suitable for any Australian size mattresses, and we always honour any sagging issues on our mattresses, our product team has also informed us that it is not a valid reason to void a mattress warranty based on the slats that the bed a customer used.

      Thanks

    • Nothwithstanding the warranty issue, I'm thinking I'll be able to uncomfortably feel the slats lying down on a softer mattress (like pocket sprung). OP can you please comment on that?

      • Hey rustyshackleford,

I have both queen pocket spring mattress and a king hybrid mattress from our company and I can't feel those slats at all when I'm lying down on those mattresses, pocket spring one being the softer one but definitely not feeling the slats. And shameless plug here, the hybrid mattress is by far the most comfortable mattress that I have slept on.

        Thanks

  • Now how to match this with a good priced king mattress?

      Hey DoUKnowTheMuffinMan,

I have had a look at our mattresses on Bunnings and can't see any deals going on at the moment, but feel free to have a look at the link below for the mattresses that we have stock for king size, and reach out again if you see anything of interest, I should be able to create a quick deal for you :)

I have this frame in king and queen, love the clearance under for storing things like suitcases

Also, I have moved 3 times with these frames. Assembly/dissembly is painless

    • I have the same combination as you too, we combined both king and queen side by side and stored almost every suitcases and heaters etc down there.

I have a queen sized four post metal bed frame from them and can confirm solid build quality.

  • I need the double in white, can't get this in white?

  • what is the difference between the Bunnings one and Amazon one?

    • Difference: price.
      Source: the comments above.

      • Sure?

        • Oh I see

  • Do these have any weight restrictions on them?

    • Hi Dogstar,

The maximum supported weight is up to 250kg excluding mattress weight.

      Thanks

Does this make sound when you try to do the thing?

    • Pull it? Jack it? I don't know what you mean.

Any reports with creaks? Is there any padding to prevent scratching on wood floors?

    • Hi mrdunu,

None reported so far, and there's a rubber padding at the bottom of the feet to prevent scratches.

      Thanks

I have this bed frame. When you first build it, there will be no creaks for a couple months (~6 months) even with large movements. After that, if you make semi-large movements (ie. fall onto the bed) it will make some creaks. I've tried to tighten all the screws (even though no screws were loose), still the same result. Luckily I haven't experienced any creaks when you roll around in the bed. The primary reason I bought this bed frame was because its fully metal (used to have one which had wooden slats and frames which would creak even with small movements. Do not recommend any wooden bed frames).

      • Hi xNik,

Thanks for the feedback, I'll provide this to our product team and see if they have come across other similar issue before and what is the suggested solution for that.

        Thanks

I have a Queen frame from Zinus and its been super solid (had it nearly 3 years). easy assembly/disassembly and hasnt wiggled loose even after a few rather hedonistic nights/days.

had a few creaks and squeaks when i first got it but it settled in and hasnt made a noise since.

they include sticky strips you can put on the frame to prevent the mattress sliding around on the frame.

the spacing for the slats is fine for all pocket spring beds.

these frames exceptional value for money.

    • Hi Laserface,

Thanks for such a great feedback, and thanks for supporting :)

      Thanks

  • This or the foldable one for guests?

    • Hi jrchurvnjef,

Depends on whether you have a permanent set up for a guest or it will be a temporary set up, if you have a place for permanent set up, definitely go for this, if not, the foldable one is the best option.

      Thanks

  • I got one of thier bed frame and its nice. No squeking for life, cheap and instructions to assemble are good. Be wary of the slat distance if you are placing a spring matress on this as it may void mattress warranty. I used Zinus foam matress but still ended up putting the cardboard(the mattress came in) between the matress and the frame to prevent any kind of sagging/cutting of the foam.

  • @Zinus Australia, any idea how long this sale will last?
