Iโ€™ve got this scale. Has it for 12 months. Pretty good overall but not rechargeable batteries.
App is pretty crappy. Just use it as a normal scale these days.

    • Surely you have 50 rechargeable AAA batteries lying around like every other ozbargainers

    • What's wrong with the app? Is the food lookup database really lacking?

  • +1

Just curious, whats the use case for the app?

Is the info not on the screen of the scale you just placed the food on?

    • Would you like an app for your app so you can app while you app?

I have a similar ninja one. The idea is to track your food intake in the app, or at least track the recipe you're making so you get an accurate idea of macros. It'd be so much more useful if you could just have it transfer the results directly to your actual food tracking app.. as it is, it's way too fiddly to manually transfer the results into another app and so yeah like the other people are saying, I just use mine as a standard scale now.

    Thanks OP ๐Ÿ‘

  • Is this better then the Nutribullet scales

  • +1

    No inbuilt battery, no thanks

    • +3

Why will that be better?, AAA batteries are pretty common and you can use rechargeable ones too.

I have 8 usb points in my kitchen so itโ€™s easier to just plug in with a cable than search for AAA batteries which are charged

    • +2

So you can bin it when the inbuilt battery dies?

    • +5

      That's a feature.

  • Most digital kitchen scales seem to die fairly quickly

My kmart one is used constantly and has been going strong 5 plus years

      • Good to know. Might try theirs next time.

    • My IKEA has been going for years as well. Never had to change battery. Though only intense use in the past 2 years as I started to track my food intake

      • Thanks. Might be worth considering one of theirs next time.

  • Showing as $34.99 in deal link. Is it back to normal price?
