    The ole 4 x 6w, eh?

    Excelsior!

      it's sad, i almost fell for it

    • And NO usb-c

    • Its photo and description from the Big W website says up to 12w per device.

      • So long as you only charge a single device.

        Too low, too slow. Pass…

        • Two devices for 12w each. Also super fast charging is known to deteriorate your battery faster.

          • @Raguel: Confirmed? I couldn’t see that anywhere in the specs.

            Happy to stand corrected if someone can point me in the right direction.

            • @UncleRico: Or here is their official website for full specification https://www.cygnett.com/collections/wall-chargers/products/p…

                @Raguel: Cheers - appreciate the extra info, although neither of the links confirm that the charger is capable of sustaining 12w when utilising more than one port. It only lists one output for each port - 5.0V⎓2.4A (12.0W) - and clearly a 4 port charger with a 24w capacity is not capable of concurrently charging all of them at that outputs. Whether it drops down to 5-6w after 2, 3 or 4 devices remains unconfirmed.

                Even if it could manage 12w on two of its four ports, do you really feel like it’s an OzBargain or even when there’s plenty of other well reviewed chargers on here which are cheaper and faster, including this $19 55w unit featuring 2 x USB-C and 2 x USB3?www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0CGQZS41V

                And if Cygnett branding was a draw card, their 4 port unit offering 45w across 2 x C and 2 x 3.0 ports is surely a more practical option for anyone seeking a replacement or charger to handle multiple devices for just $6 more;

                I’m not trying to offend you. But my own naive buying experiences have taught me that it’s a false economy to invest in old tech. I’ve got a literal army of slow chargers just gathering dust.

                Go well and power on, brother…

                  @UncleRico: 45w one on Big W is out of stock almost everywhere (Big W stores), can not be ordered online anymore, dude. Amazon one has no brand and hence very likely to be a fake and no quality assurance.

                    @Raguel: I admire your passion and insistence on negging my every response, but surely it’s dawning that you’re not going to convince me that 24w charger fits my bill when there’s countless better, faster and/or cheaper options;

                    Just $13.59 delivered will get you this 40w, 4 port (including 2 x usb-c) with 4.8 ratings from Amazon. www.amazon.com.au/Charger-Compatible-iPhone-Samsung-Galaxy/d…

                    Ohm my lord, can’t we just agree to disagree? Watts the point in getting revolted and all amped up over this power struggle?

                    • -1

                      @UncleRico: Omg, no one is trying convince you at all, obviously you didn't understand super fast charging is not good for your battery in a long run. It's only good when you are in a rush otherwise normally you want to try to use 20w or less to increase your battery lifespan. Rembmer, no one is forcing you or convincing you to buy this charger. I don't agree with you and you don't agree with me.

                        @Raguel: Watt if I told you that for less that the price of your charger, I could get you an eat-in pancake breakfast for two with complimentary usage of their phone charger or a handheld turbo fan with 4000mah battery and no less than five (5) - count ‘em - speeds, that could last for hours without even needing a recharge?

                        Still not convinced, Raguel, me olde China?

                  • +2

                    @Raguel: I managed to get price beat at office works for this one since it's only at limited bigw stores.

        • According to Mortgagetightass's comment on 04/08/2023 for the same item in the previous post,
          "unpopular opinion: crazy fast charging seems useless to me.. 12w gets my pixel 6a from 20% to 80% in just over 40 minutes."

          • -3

            @Raguel: Horses for courses, I suppose. I don’t get the point of buying an aftermarket charger that is no faster than the one which came with the phone. Unless your use case is overnight charging, it just seems like superseded tech to me.

            • +2

              @UncleRico: 1 hour to fully charge your phone is not a long time, Cygnett is not just a random brand but a well known brand for chargers and of course if your existing charger was still working, then you don't need this. This is for people who wants to charge more than two devices at one time or if their charger was no longer working or missing.
