TLDR Don’t trust anyone except us.

    • Every VPN provider says that one way or another.

      Who do you trust ?

Nothing quite like a VPN service doing a review on all over VPN services to announce that they are the best VPN service. Very impartial and unbiased reporting…

Next up, News.com.au discusses how all other newspapers are owned by mega corps and how they are the only unbiased news source in the country… FFS.

Yeah, they don't label their own business as being owned by a company, however ProtonVPN, which is basically the same business model if not better as it's parent is owned by a non-protfit, gets a big red flag.

  • Mcafee is dodgy af.

They're all over all sorts of anti-consumer business practices, like misleading popups, preloaded software that hijacks your computer, numerous remnants of their software left on your computer after uninstall, prechecked approval boxes, and the like.

And if you want to look at dubious relationships you only have to start with all the back-end commission relationships they have with literally hundreds of other companies, including poorly supervised shady commission programs that encourage third parties to use tactics like browser hijacking to redirect you to reseller sites.

Their whole business model is based on ripping people off and selling product that most people don't need, and wouldn't ask for if they weren't being bombarded with hysterical scareware alerts.
