Ours was great until it developed a fault where the blade went off centre, shaving the insides of the plastic tub into the mix. On looking closely at the intricate mechanisms, I feel the tolerance for error (like 2mm) is too close to trust again. Got refunded, and hoping the second version that's coming out will be better.
My blade also came loose and it's centre hole was mangled by the device and would not attach again. It was still under warranty so Amazon sent me a new one.
That's alarming. I bought mine after my mechanical engineer friend gushed about its design. No issues so far beyond initially having to reduce freezer temperature to be within its operating parameters and having to level off my blended custards that had sneaky bubbles warping the initial plane.
Do you have any info on the 2nd gen? Can't find on google

For the price, the Creami is pretty decent. I expect mine to die once it is out of warranty and I’m okay with that.
For the price I'd expect it to last more than 1 year, and I think under ACL it would be expected to be durable. However, you can pay to extend the warranty at JB for example for around $40 for an additional two years.
Deluxe version out two weeks ago.
Good guys commercial has the new deluxe for $287, worth it I think.

Yeah, that's what my original post was, not sure why mods changed it.
So annoyed. Amazon had a 15% coupon on Ninja products the other week and I ummed and ahhed for too long and they removed it from the creami. Took it down do about $208 delivered.
Beating myself up ever since.
Hopefully there are some good deals on the Deluxe version soon
Love this machine and no regrets buying it at 255, have been using it almost daily to replace my protein shakes with essentially the same thing except with greek yoghurt added as well.
A huge tip is to freeze the tubs without the lid first, which prevents it from creating a dome shape (this is what often damages the alignment of the blades), once it is fully frozen you can add the lid back. If you forget to do this just use a hot spoon to shave down the dome flat.
