      hi Stix,
      the cheaper cables may not support future ios updates, which is why ours may be slightly dearer.
      our supplier offered us some really cheap cables but they said the quality is lower and may not be future ios ready which is why we opted to pay a little more and get a quality product.

      its possible they have a great product too which is the same or very similar to ours,
      but just so you know where we stand on that front

      if you just ordered they are on backorder and i expect to receive stock this coming friday so you should expect it to arrive to you around the 12th of november.

      $2 cheap postage has no tracking and no insurance so if it gets lost in between, its on you but dont worry australia post is pretty reliable.

      if you dont trust australia post, its an extra $3 to get registered post which gives you $100 insurance through australia post as well as tracking on your shipment as soon as we hand it into australia post.

      anything more than that will have at least registered post on it.

      our view is:
      when the cable is as complex as the lightning cable, reversible and the genuine cable from apple costs $25 on its own, we think that $13 for a case, cable and shipping is a pretty good deal :)

      There is one coming, it's currently testing in our factory. We will definitely be getting it so keep an eye out but it might still be about a month away.

      I'm also patenting a product that will allow iphone 5 to use external memory, that's right - expandable memory for iPhone 5! But that's a while away yet.

      If you think about it, apples ecosystem provides what most consumers want from technology - to make their life easier.

      I know I've tripped over laptop cables plenty of times to love the MagSafe connector.

      The reversible lightning cable has saved me a lot of frustration at night when plugging in my phone to charge.

      Smart phones were pretty abysmal before the iPhone. Millions of independent game designers and programmers had to no avenue to self publish.

      iTunes has freed music from the record companies.

      I could go on and on (and yes I am a bit of an apple fanboy) but in many ways, I think apple has released restrictions.

      That said, clickship loves all platforms and is just here to bring a community of tech lovers together and try to make a little footprint on the web.

          i checked a couple of orders with registered post shipped the same day to see where they were and a couple of them have not yet been delivered either.

          i am surprised yours isnt delivered yet given your location but maybe we just need to be patient for australia post to get their act together.

    Placed ordered 3/11/12 (saturday) all paid up. I followed up with rep last week, giving austpost a chance to deliver. Rep told me Item Shipped on FRIDAY! Funny that item shipped on Friday when ordered placed on saturday 3/11/12 and communication with rep was before friday 8/11/12.

    Here we are 14/11/12 and no item.

    I will refer you to others as clickshit as that is what your service is like.

      hi Colbas, i have looked into my emails at that date. the only communication regarding delayed shipment was from order #122.

      On THURSDAY 8th november, i advised that the order was shipped on monday 5th of november and that australia post delivery times vary. on my site i have listed that cheap shipping - which was selected - can take between 1 and 7 days as an average, today would be the 7th business day from shipping.

      i am sorry if you have not yet received your order but once the parcel leaves with australia post it is really out of our hands unless you have selected and chosen to ship with registered or express post in which case we would have a tracking number with them for your order.

      i really would like to come to a resolution for you that would make you happy because customer service is really important to us.

    Hi everyone, just want to let you know that we have now shipped 2000 cables. Right now we have had 4 reports of 1 faulty cable which gives us a faulty rate of 0.2% which is a great start.

    We are in talks with our supplier in improving the tests done at the factory to bring this number below 0.02% which is our target

    I am extremely sorry to those who received a cable which is faulty or damaged by the courier and just want to let you know that resolving these issues will be our top priority.

        Thanks for the reply.

        I will send these two cables back to you as per your instructions. Please note that one of the cable actually worked, however, it is still somewhat in a faulty state because after I plugged in for charging, it took several minutes to start charging / detecting the phone every time! (Also, the quality of the cable connector (the lighting port side) is a bit "messy" which you can tell these are not brand new cables or really poor quality made.

        May I also know how are you going to refund my return shipping fee? Do I need to show you the receipt for return shipping as proof?

          The cables are made in china by huge quantities so the quality is never going to be as polished as genuine products but they should be functioning better than the ones you've received so I am sorry for that.

          Pretty sure original cables (and the phone as well) are made in China too, so that has nothing to do with it.

          My cable works but it's a really tight fit, to the point where I have to jam it in. Is that normal?
