[Hack] 2 Large Sides for $6.95 @ KFC App

Hey OzBargainers! A quick revisit back to this deal in October 2023 which is now available again.

For comparison, large chips is $5.25 on its own.

Steps for this new workaround method working in Mar 2024:

  1. Open the KFC Australian App, make sure it is the latest version of the app.
  2. Select the store you would like to order from.
  3. Once selected, click menu, and search "Double Combo Meal - Large".
  4. Click on the menu item, then in the bottom right corner, click "Add to order", then immediately click the arrow top left corner of the screen.
  5. Remove item from Cart. (You can access cart in the navigation tab)
  6. Now click on "Menu" in the navigation tab, and the promo for Add 2 Sides for $6.95 should show up.
  7. Add that to cart by clicking Add To Order, and you can edit the sides you want in the Cart section by clicking Customise.

Enjoy this hack while it lasts & get that finger lickin!

    It's a shame you can't have two separate 2 large size.
    It has to be in multiples so you can only have multiples of two same things

    I tried doing this with my local store, but I keep getting the "Something went wrong" message, tried with a different store and got it working. So I guess this hack varies based on store.

      They've shrunk the box too now, looks the same from the front but skinny af now. Large, lol.. pricks.

      There is a < arrow on the app when you add the Double Combo meal, you have to click that left arrow to go back to menu immediately after you added the item to the cart.

        It’s such a shame we just essentially told KFC how to fix their app so this goes away again.
        We know there are KFC reps reading this forum/group. I seen them here in this thread.

      The new way to relieve fast food ordering shame is to actually get off the couch and get it rather than doordash.
      I'll never believe there's a cost of living crises while the working class and welfare bracket keeping paying to have this trash delivered routinely.

          You have to admit it, it's bloody lazy getting junk food delivered, not even getting off your arse to go and get the crap. Also super unhealthy but that offends a lot of people.

          People complaining about cost of living but could easily cut back on a lot of junk. Just get some frozen chips at least and bung em in the air fryer.

        1 large potato and gravy = 1 regular gravy in terms of gravy content. The rest in the large is potato

        But they aren't going to give you 2 because you swapped from a large, the screen shows 1, they put 1 into the bag.

        I guess over the counter you can ask about getting 2 gravy.

          yeah mostly pointless unless you feel like hot chips. I only bother with it if the app has them for $2-3.

          The Woolies hot section was good for that - $2 then went to $3 (still reasonable) then quickly $3.5 now $4.50.

        My comment is about both. Disgusting food for cheap is not a bargain. Powdered potato with powdered gravy is not really grown up food.

        There’s a reason why this food comes in bucket because it’s only fit for farmyard animals.

    If I add a promo meal to my cart, it then pops up with a sides menu that has this as the first option. Doesn't show up when adding a normal menu item.
