One of Australia's best craft brewery with some prices that are hard to beat.

A good deal, however media suggests that Deeds Brewing are currently in Voluntary Administration. Buyer beware.

Not much to be aware about, they'll be liquidating stock and it's not like I need a warranty on beer.

More reason to jump on this deal.

I'm sure their overly poncy taproom and brewery hasn't helped with finances

      • They jacked the prices for their autumn menu too. The food is pretty good and I like the venue, but they are getting a bit ridiculous now. The beers are great and I hope they survive like many other breweries that have recently been through the same process. But stuff does indeed need to change.

    • FYI a lot of craft breweries are doing this, but it doesn't mean they're going tits up. They could defer taxes during covid, and now the ATO is offering them a big discount on their back taxes if they enter administration.

Ridiculous prices, even after supposed 30% discount….$81.20 for four cans. Deeds stuff is usually pretty good but when you're charging more than a decent bottle of wine costs per beer that's just silly.

That beer has been aged in a barrel for 12 months, more than most wine. And beer is taxed more harshly than wine. Not sure why you mention wine, to be honest.

A decent bottle of Australian wine can be had for less than the cost of one of these cans of beer. It contains more alcohol by volume, as well as being 70% larger, and it doesn't have to be consumed in a single sitting.

The point I'm making is $20 for a slightly larger than normal can of beer that needs to be drunk in one go isn't a great value proposition. Not begrudging anyone to buy this but is there little wonder a company trying to sell $80 4packs during a cost of living crisis is facing an uncertain future?

That's equivalent to a 45 dollar bottle of wine. Is that a ridiculous price for a good bottle of wine?

      • +1

A smaller container with lower ABV is equivalently worth more? But yes $45 is way more than you need to spend to get a good wine.

    Thanks OP, order placed

Infernal Agreement is up there as one of the best beers I have ever had so all over getting a 4 pack at this price. Cans of this are normally $30+.

  • Thanks OP, as soon as I saw the news I was anticipating this deal.
