      Fridge space: Depth - 620mm
      Fridge: Depth - 795mm

You mathed wrong. It's not extra space behind the fridge, it means the fridge is sticking out more in the area

      • Indeed I did.

    • The fridge is bigger than the space, so it will stick out by about 180mm

      • is 180mm okay? or should i go for counter depth?

          is 180mm okay

Ok for what? I'm sure the fridge's feelings will not be hurt…

@1st-Amendment: Depends, might be a smart fridge and it will have a sook to ChatGPT etc..

        • It's a bit sticky outy for mine

You'd also need to consider how much space is required behind the fridge.

        • +4

you need at least 5cm space behind the fridge, it wont sit flush against the wall.

        Most fridges do stick out.
        Its not a problem.
In fact its a necesssity so the fridge doors can open properly.
Width and height are the critical factors.

But if OP consults the instructions/Installation recommendations they do specify how much space should be left around the fridge.

So once agaion, no need to ask the OB community as its right there in front of OPs eyes

  • Do you rent or own? There are fridges designed to fit standard depth cabinets but they're not cheap. Also each fridge will specify installation clearance in the owner's manual.

Fridge space too small for the fridge, media room too small for the space… what next?!

Would some logical self thought be a natural 3rd step?

Have you checked which website you are on?

I think the fridge would best be placed in the media room.

If you go with this approach, dropping down to a 65" TV should let you wall mount in the fridge space.

        • +1

Even better, Mount the TV to the front of the fridge.

Next thread: Which Mini Cooper can I fit my family of 6 and two large dogs into. If Mini Cooper too big can Prius?

You are buying the wrong fridge- get a Smart Fridge with an OLED screen and place in media room.

    • This cracked me up, lucky I only need to fit 4 adults and two cats in my mini cooper.

Not ideal at all. 200mm sticking out would 5h1t me to tears

An ideally sized fridge would be approx 1800H 800W 620D

Sticking out that far it a lot. But it needs to stick out to give the doors clearance to swing.

  • Have you checked the documentation for he fridge you want to see what the manufactures clearances are? No point asking us to be honest.

    • No point asking us to be honest.

Even asking the salesperson at Bing Lee or wherever is going to give the right answer without the predicable (but entirely deserved) mockery involved with going to an online forum.

I guess online is just the easy, lazy approach to asking so some people will do it with even the dumbest of questions.
