rang North Lakes (Brisbane). They only had 1 and already reserved. staff member said that it was a returned/repair item and that most likely all units at this price are returned/repair items.
but for $50 (and free maps for 3 years) still decent.

I've listed 4 stores with brand new stock, and there are many stores Australia wide that have floor stock/ display models. Just because you could not get one don't ruin it for people who have the opportunity to get one. Just because you missed out on something is not a reason to vote a deal negative.

you could try, if they check stock levels, tell them to put in one of the postcodes listed above. Let us know if it works.
When I went for a price match one day at OW I was told as long as there was stock somewhere within the state they would pricematch. So if you live in melbourne you can tell them warrnambool has stock and they should match the price.

will OW price match that? broome so far away from me.Suppose so. I remember I was trying to get them to price match a computer one day which JB had on sale. No JB stores in melbourne had stock. They just told me I had to find 1 JB anywhere in Victoria that had stock and they would do the pricematch. I of course found 1 in one of the country JB stores.
Canberra centre has one ex display stock, no mount, no charger. Good luck selling it DSE.
Normally they keep the original box and accessories out the back. If something is missing they will usually be happy to discount it further
The original box was right below the display in the glass cabinet and had the usual red circle sticker indicating it was ex-demo, no charger, no mount. Box looked a bit banged up too.
It also had a sticker with price showing the 'was' price @ $59, now $50 lol.

Any good to use in USA ? Or upgradeable to USA map ? The downside is that the GPS only updated for up to 3 years, not like TomTom - Lifetime. Which one is better/more accurate GPS: Navman or TomTom ?
Lifetime refers to a units ability to be upgraded. Your GPS device may last 10 years but its highly unlikely you will still be getting updates over those 10 years.
