    Tablets are a scam. I tried them, and went back to power. Dishes are perfect. Just remember to put a little powder in the prewash.

        I'm just using the coles stuff and the dishes are clean. Use rinse aid too

        They seem to keep changing suppliers. I used to get an Australian one, but the China-made Woolworths brand "shine" seems to work OK. Or Coles Ultra.

        I was mucking about with different products for my old dishwasher, and it turned out I just needed a better dishwasher :-)

        But remember:
        - load it properly so the spray reaches everything. Easy once you have the kids trained.
        - add some power for the pre-wash!
        - do a rinse cycle after dinner if not full, and leaving it overnight. Especially if egg yolks on the plate!

        p.s. and rinse aid in the dispenser. Some of the tablets have an additive to leave a shiny coating on glassware, but rinse aid is good enough.

      I use pre wash powder and aldi tabs.

      Any idea why my power tablet was not thoroughly dissolved and always left some residue at the bottom of the dishwasher?

      My power tablet is from Aldi and has been really unused for a long time as I only used dishwasher once in a long time.

        sometimes that is due to a plate blocking the exit

        Could be the wash temperature. Or inadequate flow.

        I just moved to a new home, the previous owner leave a dishwasher and half box of coles ultra advanced tab, first time I use dishwasher and no problem with the cleanness at all! Makes me wondering why pelope would spend 69c per tab (on half price) vs this coles brand at less than 30c!

        in my experience, i've only just about to finish the box of coles tablets. so far everything comes out clean, but we run a 65 degree C cycle and remove all solid foods and give it a very quick rinse.

        i might try powder instead, as that's cheaper.
