  I've never found a good vent mount as all the cars I've had the vents move and phones flop around going over bumps etc. but this will replace my window mount phone holder that wobbles all over the place as well. It looks a bit more sturdy than my bendable rod ones.

  Also a few times I've had phones give warnings about not charging due to heat then warnings that they will shut down and then finally shutting down when using them with window mounts as they get pretty hot in the direct sun under slanted glass, just something to be cautious about.

  Looks like the side grips will press against the power and volume buttons on my phone but I'll give it a try anyway.

  My main car has a Sony Android Auto head unit with maps, this is just for my other cars that I hardly use but don't want to spend $1000~ just to have nav on the dash.

      You might be able to get 20+% discount on Kogan (GCs, Amex, etc.) so much better from Kogan with warranty, etc.
