Would consider but I still have to get through all the free ones from the Appliances Online deal

  • Is it any better than Aldi?

Not sure if it's my dishwasher(Haier brand) problem, but when I use Aldi's cap, the dishwasher is still wet inside after the cycle. WIth the same condition and cycle, this works better from my own experience.

      • What's the logic/if any to that?

With the basic Aldi tablets, I cut them out of the dissolvable cover and they work amazing , and cost 1/3 of these

        • also do this and they work brilliantly!

Do you use the entire tab per wash?

Why do you need to cut them out?

(asking because I'm about to follow suit as we just bought a DW). I no longer have to be the DW.

Edit : how much are the Aldi ones anyways?

@lordra: I found that the dissolvable cover didn’t dissolve quickly or well enough and I got some residue. As soon as I took them out before starting the cycle everything changed they work real well. I think they are about $6 for 45 now

        • If you simply throw the tablet into the bottom of the machine, it works perfectly without the need to remove any cover

Is it any better than Aldi?

I had been slowly going through my Finish Quantum stash from years ago. I was running low so last month I bought a few boxes of Aldi Logix Platinum (18c per tablet) after hearing good things about them here.

I find they definitely don't clean as well as the Quantum. For the first time in a long time I found residue on my drinking glasses that I've never seen before; looks like dried remnants of the V8 juice that was in it.

At 18c I guess they're alright, but fortunately I'm not a heavy user so am totally happy to pay an extra 15c per load for something that cleans better. Hopefully this Ultimate is as good as the Quantum.

      • When you cut them out of the plastic cover they work excellent. I was about to throw them out before I tried this method. No residue and a great clean

        • Thanks, I'll give that a try next. I ran another load last night and was disappointed again at the leftover residue.

thanks op, combined with "$15 off $75 Spend" offer and added something worth $3.5 to make it over $100, hopefully also get the $25 coupon ( spend over $100 before 15th April)

    • Where can we find the coupon?

    • So how much did you pay for these in the end?

      • +1

$100.2 added a pack of panadol

        • Thanks mate. I'll sleep on it. See if I should get this or the aldi in the morning.

Cheers OP, Mother’s Day Gift sorted!

  • Bunnings sell one of these for $21.97, everyday prices if you don't need to get the 6 packs.

That's for a different version; Finish have a very confusing product lineup. This is Powerball Ultimate, Bunnings is Powerball Quantum, Choice rated Powerball Ultimate Plus and Powerball Ultimate Pro at the top (along with Logix Platinum which I was disappointed with), and in 2022 they rated Powerball Quantum Ultimate Pro and Powerball Ultimate at the top along with Logix Platinum again.

Does anyone know for sure what their performance ranking is?

      Finish Ultimate
      Finish Ultimate Plus
      Finish Ultimate Pro
      Finish Quantum
      Finish Quantum Ultimate Pro

      The finish website also lists:

      Finish Ultimate Plus Material Care
      Finish Ultimate All In One
      Finish Quantum Essential
      Finish Power All In One
      Finish Power Essential
      Finish Classic

It's pretty ridiculous to have such a lineup for dishwashing detergent. It's like their marketing department is worried of looking like they're not doing enough work.

      • I see room for a few more products
