Do Paper Towels at Coles Count as a “Cleaning Product”?

I have a Flybuys promo on cleaning products but I can’t find anywhere that specifies if paper towels (the large ones like handee etc) count as a “cleaning product”.

I have checked Coles and Flybuys site and faqs and have come up empty so far.

Does anyone know the answer to this extremely important question?

Thanks in advance!

Go online & check what products are listed under cleaning tab to purchase

I did that but it’s still not really clear, they say “cleaning goods” etc.

I have found some old forum posts from 2-3 years ago for other unrelated promos under “cleaning products” at Coles and it seems that paper towels among other items one might reasonably conclude are “cleaning products” aren’t, or at least weren’t then or for those particular promos.

Based off this and just how bad Flybuys at times can be I’m not going to risk it!

Happy to be corrected but at this stage I’m going to say no, paper towels aren’t “cleaning products”.

My guess would be that paper towels would be classified as a paper product.

buy a roll and scan it to see the outcome

  • Not direct answer to your Q, any reason you don't just order off Amazon AU? I've (almost) always found the heavy competition to drive the price to be more competitive (unless it's on some great sale in Colesworth), if you don't have Prime it's free delivery for $59 or more. Grab a year's supply and you don't need to think about it again until then.

So much stress chasing useless points. FFS.

If you need it buy it, not because of an over inflated rewards system tells you to.

  • The only thing that makes Coles make economic sense is buying things I need when the promos come my way mate

  • I doubt it, it's located in a different isle.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone

Decided to play it safe and just not go through the effort. If they don’t want to be clear about the promo then I’ll pass.

But based on what I could glean from similar promos and the feedback here paper towels wouldn’t be “cleaning products”.

Thanks. I was wondering what to wear to work tomorrow. All sorted now.

      • Strategically apply 3 ply in sensitive areas otherwise your co-workers may get a surprise.

Common sense would say that it's classified as a cleaning product. Have they given you any reason to think otherwise?

In a previous FlyBuys promotion on "cleaning category products" from late last year, they've specifically listed Paper Towels as part of that category of products:

      Entering

      5. How to enter
