Singapore Attraction Passes

Travelling to Singapore for 6 days.

Is it economical to buy a multi attraction pass thats costs AUD520/person for 5 days or is it it economical to do it on your own?

Have you been there? what did you do and what was your experience?

Thank you for your assistance.

Edit:- This is the pass I am referring to

You only need one day, max 2. Rest is just eating chicken rice and enjoy.

  • Unless you have planned out exactly what you want to do with the pass (it'd probably need to include Universal Studios entry to be worth that much), I wouldn't buy a multi-attraction pass.

It lets you keep flexibility in case you find something else you want to do (food and shopping), the weather is crap during your stay and you don't want to do some of the outdoor attractions, or if you just feel tired after being on the go for too many days.

Have a look at the Klook Singapore passes:

  • What does the multi attraction pass include? Do you want to do everything it includes? How much would it cost to buy tickets separately to the things you want to do? Sounds like a lot of money for 5 days worth of entry tickets.

I lived there for a few years. I honestly wouldn't buy any passes, because there's more misses than hits. Some of things I enjoyed and recommend to visitors:

    • Gardens by the Bay: Free to walk around and check out the super tree grove. Cloud Forest, Flower Dome, and the OCBC Skyway are ticketed, but you can get a joint ticket for all three. I find the Flower Dome a little boring.
    • ArtScience Museum (with some teamLab designed installations)
    • Universal Studios: I would honestly skip if you had/have the opportunity to visit other Universal Studios. Singapore's is super small.
    • Asian Civilizations Museum: Really cool and unique museum that features a lot of Asian cultures
    • Night Safari at Singapore Zoo
    • Jewel Changi: Free to walk around the vortex - the whole place is a great way to kill time before your flight by using the Jewel Early Check-in desks
    • Katong/Joo Chiat Area: This is a really cool area and where you can find the old colorful Peranakan shop houses. Lots of really great food and nice cafe.

You want to spend most of your time eating the delicious food. Can't beat the usual hawker fare like nasi lemak, laksa, chicken rice, roti prata, hokkien mee, fried carrot cake, etc. Kaya toast at Ya Kun or Toastbox is a tourist-friendly option to try the popular traditional breakfast. Some of the best places for these are outside hawker centres in standalone restaurants, like 328 Katong Laksa. Coconut Club is a fancy nasi lemak place, it might not be the best nasi lemak but its decent and the fried chicken is tastier and bigger than hawker centres ones. I personally love fried bee hoon, usually available for breakfast with a bunch other fried stuff.

Looking beyond hawker food, there's also quite a bit of decent food you can't get in Australia. Jollibee fried chicken is a Filipino chain, amazing spicy fried chicken in the Singapore branches. Wok Hey is a really interesting little takeout chain where they use udon and ramen to make wok hei style dishes. I love the curry puffs at Old Chang Kee. There's like 10 ShakeShack branches, the pandan shake is great albeit sweet af. Also great Japanese food owning to its popularity among locals and a big Japanese expat community. Personally love Sushiro cause the trains are super fun and its fairly affordable.

Hawker food is the best - great recommendations.
Jollibee is also top notch!, a must visit whenever in Asia.

Thanks ninjalot for taking the time to share all this excellent info!

  • multi attraction pass thats costs AUD 520/person for 5 days. No , you don't need it.because some time weather is crap.

    • "some" time? Have you ever been to Singapore? The climate is nothing if not consistent.

Nice place to visit BTW, but I'd avoid the packaged attractions mostly. Just soak in the atmosphere. Literally - you'll be soaking. See the districts. The bird park is good if you want a break.

  • Had been in Singapore 4 times, last one was last year September it was heavy rain all day, stopped in the evening.unexpected weather, you never know.

  • When I went I used the Klook Pass Singapore. You can select anywhere from 2 to 10 attractions from a list of 30. Depending on what you want to do it can save you a decent amount of cash. It also saves queueing for a ticket, you just scan your QR code and in you go.

  • Just got back on Tuesday from our honeymoon in Singapore. I would suggest that you are better off watching videos on you tube and working out precisely what you’d like to do. I agree if the weather is wet for multiple days it will cause you issues. Luckily we only had one really wet day. On that day we went to Sentosa and had a walk around to get our bearings there and we did some indoor activities that day, like HyperDrive (3 story go karting) and the Aquarium. Knowing where we were going on Sentosa then got us set for when we went back to go to Universal Studios.
