    Noob/retail solution
Buy the Bissell/retail solution which is around $22 per Litre at HN.

    Pro/Commercial solution

    $35.99
    5L Concentrate, makes 600L

Basically the 5L version is like buying 500x bottles of the $22 bottle.

    • Has anyone tried the Peerless JAL 5l-Steamy on upholstery?

    • This is great advice. Thank you for sharing

    • According to Choice testing, a homemade water, vinegar, couple of drops dishwashing liquid and some laundry detergent was the best..and significantly better.

I use a pet revolution pro and agree.

Use a garden sprayer and mist on some of the above cleaner. Let sit for 10. Then hit it with a Bissell with 70C water. Comes up great.

      • I am personally not keen on using vinegar in mine.

I personally use a commercially available option but at much lower rates than the "recommended dose". It always brings out huge amounts of dirt. Just a splash of detergent in the tank is more than enough…even straight hot water is usually enough

  • Which is the one that can be used on tiles?

      You mean a mop ?

    • Crosswave

  • What's the difference between this and the powerclean x2

  • Wonder what's the warranty on this?

I'm glad I use wooden floorboards.

Trying to purchase this, msg came up ypu purched this item xxxxx, then only i realised that I should have one somewhere in my house.

  • Doesn't that mean it'll come with a Uk plug?

    • +1

Grabbed one last deal. Yes, comes with a UK plug but you can just use a simple travel adapter.

      • Thanks Salut for confirming - i will update the description.

This is probably better than dual roller brushes for delicate carpets. But the dual ones comes with couch cleaner attachments.

For anyone interested or would prefer, the AUS version of this is available from Good Guys Commercial for $244.

I purchased this item last deal.

    Pros
    * Does a good job cleaning carpet and rugs for the price
    * Relatively simple to use
    * Can use generic commercial grade cleaners for cheap.

    Cons
    * To get the best suction you constantly need to empty the spent water container. I noticed a significant drop on suction when the dirty water container is more than half filled.
    * The clean water/shampoo container is small so it needs constant filling. Which is ok for small areas but a PITA for larger areas.

    Overall happy with the purchase.

  • Bought this, have this, it's great. But for big areas you need to fill it up a few times so stock up on solution

    • +1

Use less solution. Definitely do not use the "recommended rate"

I use a small splash of solution and it brings up a huge amount of dirt. Hell, if you just use hot water it brings up a huge amount of dirt.

  • Can you use a hose attachment for this at all?

  • +2

I got one of these and so far so good. Probably not for doing large houses, just small areas at a time. Has a UK power plug, so make sure you have a universal plug adaptor.

    • I find by the time I've moved all the furniture in one room, done multiple passes, let it dry etc, filled and emptied a few times I'm really only bothered doing one room at a time anyway. So this suits me well.

It's not like a vacuum where you're doing it weekly/multiple times a week.

I'm happy with this and the Bunnos 5L solution, definitely use a bit less otherwise the smell is overpowering!

I cut off the UK plug and put on an Aussie 3 pin plug.

It's amazing how black the water comes out 😁

  • This one has steam cleaning?

    • +1

And what makes you think it has steam cleaning when it's not mentioned anywhere in the product description nor in the post/comments?

      • Any good steam cleaner for carpets?

      • People think why you need this when it's not steam and not much different to the one at home.

      • Thats what i needed, after the house reno, you need the proper steam clean carpet. Always wanted to buy my own.

        • I have the non steam pet 2x. It does an excellent job even without steam.

Im sure steam in addition would do an even better job, but i wouldnt say its necessary

  • +1

Does anyone know how this compares to the Bissell Revolution Pet? Does the Pet one just have bigger water tank and more attachments? Or does it clean better?

    • Bissell pet has a couch / stair / spot cleaner hand attachment. This is just carpet/ floor.

I bought a Rev Pet for $200 off Marketplace. It's excellent.

  • +3

Any great deal on upholstery cleaner? Maybe carpet plus upholstery?

    • Supercheap auto had some in clearance..if not, Bunnings.
