  • Bit plasticky compared to the Roku.. remote a bit finicky also, needs to be pointed directly at the fetch box

But what can you do, it's getting shutdown

    • You can also control it from the Fetch iPhone app.

    • needs to be pointed directly at the fetch box

Old IR remotes were replaced with Bluetooth voice activated remotes a year ago.

Fetch tv mighty referb is $199 for any one interested, comes with 1TB PVR with 4 tuners

    • For $199 it is close to the price for Nvidia Shield when on special. I would prefer that

      • +2

        does NVIDIA shield have tuners?

      • they don't have tuners or IPTV channels, pretty useless in that sense. Cheap Android TV box would be better comparison for NVIDIA shield.

      • that is even better, I think I got it for $99 back in 2022. Works well and I have $6 knowledge pack as well. Streaming services are also well supported.

Fetch Mighty with 1TB was $79 a year ago in Deal. Bought then.
Claimed to be refurbished, but was new.
Record up to 6 FTA at once & watch another.

Voice controlled Bluetooth remote can also control TV.
And can be controlled & viewed through Fetch app.

Refurb Fetch Mighty for $129 at JB. I have a couple, they're fine.

Pretty good box if you don't need Kayo or Binge. 4 tuners, 1tb hdd, FAST channels, subscription TV channel packs, movies and TVseries buy on demand.

    I’ve heard these suck

    What an embarrassment:

'Please note that Kayo, Binge, Flash and Foxtel Now are not currently available on Fetch.'

  • Used it for the 3mths free fetch channels, now collecting dust n back to using tv3

    I have the fetch mini.
My TV has stopped updating, my other HDD Media Players are no longer receiving updates.
The fetch is rented to users by some ISPs - so they keep it up to date and all the apps work on it.
It also connects to my NAS/media server as well.

The shield is good but the fetch is very localised. So from my viewpoint its the best way to extend my not very smart tv and play pretty much all the latest file formats.

  • telstra giving away landfil as always

  • +1

Been a 30+ yr loyal Telstra member with home phone (no longer), up to 4 mobile phones, internet and Kayo. No offer for the Fetch. Took the Telstra TV years ago. What a door stopper that is.

    • -2

Fetch is trash anyway. I would never get anything offered to you by an ISP.

      • You can buy Fetch outright from retail outlets.

        • -2

Yeah but I'm saying the ones from ISPs are controlled by the ISP and also there are better streaming boxes compared to fetch

  • thats annoying i have a telstra tv and never received the offer ?
    Mine was junk

  • Have two Telstra TVs and still haven't received this offer for the Fetch.

  • Contact Telstra I’m sure you will get the offer.

  • Does anyone happen to have a screenshot of the offer?
