  Still blows my mind how expensive Japanese alcohol is in Australia compared to Japan. $1.50AUD for a 9% -196 compared for $4 on special for a 6% variety.

  Bought a bottle of Heiwa yuzushu for $16.50AUD and it sells for $65-72 here

    I brought back 3 bottles of Japanese whisky for about $60 (60000 Yen) and its about $400 worth here. Alcohol pricing over there is just amazing and we didnt even shop around, that was from a BIC Camera store..

    Anyway, take me back. 7/11 was a legitate highlight and being as big of a pisswreck as I am was very affordable.

      Yeah agreed, at least there's still some "Try me for $3's" which have the occasional decent one but I'd expect these days are limited too.

      There are so many good value options that plenty of people would purchase regularly. Yes there are filler options but to pretend there are no good deals when there are 196-/196 imitators, Smirnoff ice double blacks and vodka cruisers at $4 each is silly. Not even a big supermarket group. They split off ages ago.

        No one said "no good deals" just "the majority". Pretending Vodka Cruisers (1std drink) are a good deal at $4 is silly. Fair call re: supermarkets but Endeavour isn't exactly a mum & dad operation…
