But I am assuming this is Australian stock with manufacturers warranty, so not really a suitable comparison.

      • From the offer details:
"This product is classified as an 'Overseas Imported Product' by Dealworkz
This product will be dispatched directly by our channel partners based in Hong Kong"

        • mmm, you're right. How do I neg myself? lol

Happy to throw in a free tripod with the bag and protector! For Oz Bargainers! Email us on [email protected] to confirm your purchase.

    • Which means tripod and protector for $40… not too bad.
      What tripod is it?

    • +$79 shipping to Sydney.

  • Wow, the deals are coming for D5100 because the replacement is coming soon. Should I wait or buy now ?

    • +1

Wait. You'll see prices drop by $60-$90.

What's the replacement coming out? Any ideas what the differences are going to be?

      • D5200, coming out dec 2012 iirc

Should be a step up or down? with 24MP, but a major plus is the D7000's 39 point AF system, with 9 cross type sensors.

        • Yeh I'm not convinced it'd be worth the extra cash. Can't imagine how the sensor will deal with noise.

  • Hi Dealworkz, what sort of price can you do for the D5100 with just one lens, the 18-105mm VR?

EDIT: Just realised this is one of those daily deals sites so I'm guessing they ain't got flexibility on the lens… bummer

    • Hi Greenspoon,

We sure can do a deal on the 18-105 VR lens kit. Could you please email us on [email protected].
Just need to check stock availability and pricing with the supplier.

      Thanks :)

    Cheaper at Shopping Square, http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_402339_Nikon_Digital_SLR_…
$675 (+$1 shipping) for the same setup minus the bonus accessories which may or may not be desired…

Seems like there is a real clearout of these going on at the moment. Might wait and see how low they can go.

    • The deal at Shopping square is for a NON VR 70-300mm lens. There are a lot of deals where the second lens is a non-VR lens. You need to make sure that both lens are VR lens as you need the VR for long telephoto shots.

      • Well spotted, thanks. I didn't think there were non VR around, didn't they start making those around 2008? A little sneaky perhaps…
