I have an amp so just bought the WIIM Pro Plus preamp streamer with code for $288.15 (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/204585693072) but saw a previous post for the AMP which seems more popular where guys felt they'd missed out.

  The Wiim Mini is also on sale for $118.25 for those that just want to add streaming to an existing set of powered speakers or an older receiver or amp lacking connectivity but otherwise good.

  For example if I have a pair of powered speakers with Bluetooth but I don't want all my random notifications etc, this would add Chromecast and others.

      Ah you're right. What a stupid, annoying omission… I guess it rules it out for me as an option. Thanks for the pick up.

      I guess the Mini is still a good option for households but around Alexa or Siri though…?

  if you just need an amp, get the AIYIMA A07 on Amazon for 90$, with the supplied PSU it delivers 75W RMS per channel and reviews talk good about it. No DAC, just RCA and 3.5mm inputs.
