      Pick up for 25 appears a decent price. It plays most files/codecs, has HDMI and even a few firmware revisions.

    Page says Realtek chipset but the comment looks correct about it using the AmLogic 8626 which is very ordinary.

    I just grabbed one. Even if you put the networking aside, $25 for a non networked media player that from the few posts on the internet can handle most media files is a good price.
    Seems like a cheap build quality, but again, for $25, who's complaining.

    I have one of these at home for my parents, works well for the most part but occasionally will freeze…

    Plays most files but occasionally certain mkv files wont work though
