Can you elaborate on what you mean? It's been reviewed well and from what I've played so far it's a fun and great metroidvania.
My comment refers to the look of the current prince vs older games, not the gameplay.
The character you play as isn’t the prince :)
You're not playing as the Prince. You're playing as a warrior who's on a quest to save the prince.
They've made him look stupid and aggressive, as per most things nowadays. I'm surprised he still looks male.

Currently playing through the game on Switch and enjoying it. First 15 or 30 mins wasn’t so great but better after the opening.

Yes
Plays really well on Switch and holds a solid 60 for most of the gameplay. Textures etc dialed down from other consoles but not to the point that the game looks bad. I’d assume other versions have faster load times, but they aren’t terrible and really just felt when you fast travel which there’s some of but not as much as some games (fast travel points are pretty spaced out so you are on foot a lot).
If portable play is a selling point then you’re getting a good experience with the Switch copy for this game.

I liked the game, I struggled for ages on the first boss, then the parry system finally twigged in my brain and I enjoyed it. I play it on Yuzu, though I might get it for the PS5 to be on the big screen.
Mirage is dreadfully dull, so this by default.

I just completed the main quest story last night. The gameplay is hard to master, but I really enjoyed it. 10/10 would recommend.
