  Just be warned the optical sensor on these is a bit shit at times (more so than you’d normally expect from an optical sensor). Garmin doesn’t seem to have any answers to fix it.
  Worth looking at the Garmin forums about the HR.

  A great watch if paired with a HR monitor though. Heaps of metrics and health stuff.
  It’s a bit mean with training status and readiness though.

  If you prioritise battery life and can live without the AMOLED touchscreen and slightly more precise GPS, the Forerunner 255 Music is $499 ($749 rrp) at JB

  Always the overseas models are cheaper. I read it due to the GPS and map issue!
