      • My son's salary is around $70K, no loan, one $1K credit card. Immediately rejected but offered for the lower tier card.

  • "130,000 bonus points when you spend $3,000 on everyday purchases within the first 60 days of account opening"

Has anyone tested on this card or other NAB cards if doing and paying off zip pay transactions gives you the normal 1.5 points and contributes to the 3K in "everyday purchases"?

    • Zip worked.

  • Anyone have issued redeeming points for gift cards?

Firefox doesn't load the page once you click redeem.

Samsung browser does but always asks to login to add a GC to the card (never ending loop) and goes back to the internet banking login.

Very easy. Chrome mobile, worked perfectly

      • Very odd, not working, tried Chrome Desktop and phone (+ incog modes), with Wifi turned off, Firefox flat out refuses because of cookie issue, Samsung Internet, and Edge.

It is SSO login (which isnt necessarily MS related), but cant help but think if its related to the IT outage.

Did it login for you today, like recently?

Anyone have issues accessing the rewards site to redeem points? It’s a darn circular reference of sign in > cards > click to redeem points > log in again > cards > so on and so forth. So dumb!! I suspect because im churning from qantas card to rewards points card the account is messed up? I swear this happened to me before…

    • Anyone have issues accessing the rewards site to redeem points?

You mean literally the comment above yours…?

    • Its working now, guess it was related to the CrowdStrike outage

  • I received my first statement 15 days after opening the account and it includes the first month fee of $24.

I was expecting to have a bit more time to complete the minimum spend requirement. Did everyone else receive their first statement after 15 or 30 days?

    • When did you get the email saying you've been approved? Should be 30 days from then I think.

      • I just checked, the email approval date is the same as the account opening/statement start date

        • +1

Yep, that is how it works. Your 60 days start from when you get approved.

    • Yes same here - statement received 14 days after I opened the account. I messaged NAB through their app to get this first statement fee reversed since they didn't allow me enough time to meet the spend requirement to have the monthly fee waived.

      • did they do anything?

        • Yeah they reversed the fee that month

  • Doing a bit of reading, and it seems that the bonus points are not issued until 60 days after reaching the spend limit (which was confirmed by a NAB employee when I spoke to them) - she also advised that if I cancel the card before having the points credited (i.e to avoid having multiple additional monthly fees) I won't receive the bonus points.

Has anyone been able to confirm this? Sounded like she didn't really know and was just going with what sounded easier to tell me, so wanted to check if anyone has been issued their bonus points for this offer yet or not.

      • Awesome, thanks mate - I had a feeling the person I spoke to was talking out of their backside, hopefully I should have mine in the next few days.

        Cheers!

        • how long did it take for you to get yours Lord Stark? mine has been over 2 weeks and am a bit anxious lol

          • @blue21: Pretty sure I had mine within a week of completing the spend - I did notice that even though I had spent over the 3k amount, a small portion of that hadn't counted as an 'eligible spend' for one reason or another. I used the view of the accrued NAB rewards points in the app as the true indicator, as from memory it was 1.5 points per dollar spent. I'd recommend double checking that to make sure you've acquired enough (i.e 4.5k points) as a starting point.

            • +1

@NedStark102: thanks man! appreciate the response will have a look

              • @blue21: @blue21 did you get your points yet? I'm upto 8000+ points for weeks and still no bonus points. About to tick over into my third month which will mean another monthly fee.

                • +1

@newtz: nope. i'm way above as well. i contacted them and they said to wait 90 days as per t&c

                • @newtz: I am the same, was also told I had to wait 60 days after meeting spend limit. Has anyone had any success in getting it pushed through earlier?

                  • +1

@Ladideeda: I didn't bother contacting them after reading comments here, but my bonus points have just arrived. Probably 3-4 weeks after reaching the spend criteria

                    • @newtz: Hm, I hope I get the points before the next monthly charge. I met the spent on Oct 2nd. It's been almost 2 weeks now.

  • Is this still active?

    • If you can still see it on the NAB website, then it's active. Take screenshots for evidence.

    Applied 4/7/2024
    Spend met 26/7/2024
    Bonus points received 1/8/2024

  • Am I eligible if I cancelled the same CC in June last year?

    • This offer isn’t available to existing customers who received NAB Rewards Bonus Points in the last 18 months for a new personal NAB Rewards credit card, or when closing or transferring from another NAB branded credit card account, or in conjunction with other NAB credit card offers.

  • made a rookie mistake :)
Spent 3K and was waiting for a week to get the bonus points….
Then I realized that $24 CC fee was part of the 3K so I had to spent a bit more to cover it.
Got the bonus in 2 days.

    • oh man, you're cut it close :)

  • +2

I've got 4724 points, but no bonus points. Concerned my zip payments (using one off cards to pay car rego) are not counting.

    • why did you go through zip

      • +1

Because government payments don't count for bonus points according to the t&c

    • neither. i called them and they said to wait for 90 days as per t&c zzz

      • Extra month fee then

      • hey did you receive the points yet???

        • Yup

          • @blue21: how long did it take after reaching the min spend?

Has anyone tried receiving the bonus for this card while still holding an active NAB Qantas Signature credit card?

EDIT: sort of found the answer in the description of an old deal: "Note, like ANZ, this is Rewards card which is different with the Qantas Rewards card. You can have Qantas and this together or one after the other without cooling period. I had the Qantas card in Nov last month and just finished this and got bonus points without problem."

    • Have you confirmed this with NAB, because in T&C, it says Nab branded CC within 18 months?

  • Is buying gift card an eligible purchase?

    • Yes, especially from Coles/WW - can't say about if you bought from other online giftcard places.

  • Does anyone know if I will receive the bonus points if I've held a Virgin Money credit card within the last 18 months? Not sure if they classify it as a "NAB branded credit card account".

"This offer isn’t available to existing customers who received NAB Rewards Bonus Points in the last 18 months for a new personal NAB Rewards credit card, or when closing or transferring from another NAB branded credit card account, or in conjunction with other NAB credit card offers."

    • Virgin Money <> NAB
      Citibank <> NAB
      BOQ <> NAB
      Suncorp <> NAB
      Kogan <> NAB
      Coles <> NAB

NAB is the credit provider for all of them but non of them is branded as NAB credit card. The T&Cs are clearly stated that excluded for NAB own credit card - and nothing about <insert-brand-name> cards that issued by NAB.

Source: I had applied and received bonus points from NAB CC while held/had one of those issued-by-NAB cards.

      • Good to know. Thanks so much!

  • I have a bank account with NAB to the tune of about $300.

I signed up for this card, with currently another 2 cards (waiting for my payout with Bank of Melbourne).

I was utterly shocked with the application process. I chucked in my details, and I was conditionally approved. They requested me to submit documents by email, and then in the next 2 minutes of doing nothing I was fully approved with a card on the way. Didn't even have a chance to submit payslips, closure statements for previous cards, bank statements, rental income statements, you know the usual gauntlet. This was such a nice surprise.

Also got setup with Apple Pay immediately, so I don't need to wait for the card.

anyone else still waiting for points….. i met minimum spend probably a month ago

    • Did you receive anything yet? I met spend on Oct 2nd and I haven't gotten anything yet. First statement showed monthly statement fee reversed though because I spent more than $5k.

      • Met spend Oct 2.

        Received points on Nov 1.

  • If you want to avoid the fee for the first month make sure you spend the whole $5k in the first couple of days. I activated the card on the 2nd, spent $3.5k planning to get it up to $5K over a couple of weeks, but they sent me a statement on the 7th applying the $24 fee and starting a new statement priod.

Will update when the points arrive so you know how long it takes.

    • +1

Your 60 days start when you are approved for the card, not when you activate the card.

    • Did you receive your points yet?

  • +1

Met points criteria a week ago
Have just received first statement. 8000 points so far
Will wait 30 more days before contacting NAB

    • +1

Yep, I met points 2 Oct and I have 9405 points. It;s now 28 Oct. I'll call them in a couple of days, because I do not want to incur another monthly fee.

    • Received my bonus points today
      So 3 weeks after

  • +2

Met spend almost a month ago. Received the bonus points today. I think the point are released every beginning of the month

  • Seems like you'd be slightly better off converting the points straight to Flybuys points and you get a 1:1 conversion, compared to a bit less if you get gift cards. i.e. 130K points = 130K flybuys points = $650 vs 130K points = $636 in gift cards. Also, with gift cards you'll most likely end up with some left over points that won't be enough for a gift card.

  • Is paying for council rates or car rego counts toward the total spending?

  • Signed up on Thursday, conditionally approved and payslips submitted. Approved Tuesday.
    Thanks for posting OP

    Looks like its expired..

    • Yeah looks to be

    • Yes, but the odd thing is that they don't run any new promotion with this card

      • Yep, too good.

  • I had applied on 3rd Dec and now NAB is saying offer is not active currently, how to prove I had applied during offer period.

    • You should have email from NAB after submitted your application.

    • Interesting, I applied on the 1st of December and was approved on the 3rd of December and got the email from NAB. I have spend over $12,000 since and have not got the bonus points. I forgot to get a screen shot, is there a way to confirm the promotion was running at this date? Thank you

      • +1

Loyalty team confirmed offer was activated at time of my card approval, so waiting for points now

        • Thank you. I should be ok then. I will check the next statement in a few weeks time.
