But I smiled when I saw that the catalogue listed this as Half Price. Maths fail. LOL.

  • Man, I just bought two 15$ vodafone Sim from Coles a few days ago. Can I return that and get these?

  • just went and got two of them
    cheers OP

  • wow pretty nice price. gonna buy one for this weekend :)

  • can u choose other plans instead of of that particular cap?

like instead of the 30$ cap ill choose the txt & talk or 365 day recharge

  • Can you buy 12 of these and keep porting your old number every month and thus be on a $10 plan for a year?

    • How will you ask VF to port VF to VF?

      • That's what I am trying to find out!

        • Well you can imagine it. You put in your SIM ID and ask to port your old number, and the system says, sorry you are already on VF, why are you doing this? Or worse, it just fails. Or you talk to a human and they tell you the same thing. The whole idea of these honeymoon offers is to get them new fully paying customers after the honeymoon.

You'd have hop to another provider like tendiya says below.

But of course if you don't mind having a new number every month…

        • What if we talk to the human at VF and say that we lost the prepaid simcard?
But we have bought a new $30 starter kit and would like to keep that old number?
I guess in that case they could help… probably as a once off

    • No. YOu cannot. You will need to port your number to another service provider and then port it back to Vodafone. If you dont mind this process, buy a $2 sim from another service provider, port the number out from vodafone and then port it back to vodafone using a new sim pack.

This is a bit tedious process and the porting process sometimes take a day or two.

  • Any idea on the expire day of the sim packs??

Just a though this will be perfect with the $10 Telstra sims, porting in and out of VF and Tekstra and your monthly bill is alwayd $10

    • All very well in theory as long as Telstra doesn't take 5 days to port your number, as they did with mine recently.

      • Did they tell u what went wrong??

  • My closest Safeway (E burbs, Melb) did not have any but the others in the area seemed to have quite a few in stock. Seems like a good deal, especially if you have some of the Telstra ones to port to and from
