That'd be great if I could actually buy something from you guys, my bank apparently think you are dodgy and my paypal (which is linked to my mastercard and bank account) doesn't work, nor do any of my credit cards, going off the Special Ops thread here you're losing a lot of sales due to this (and I missed the 75% off spec ops :(, please fix it.

    • +3

      who are you talking to?

      • Gah, mistook the red P next to his name for a rep tag, oh well, I'm sure GMG see these threads anyway.

        • +1

          I doubt they read ozbargain

    • Except you didn't miss Spec Ops? Talk to them about it and I guarantee you if it's not your fault then they'll still let you get it on special as I've received store credit for showing them that they had a 35% off sale after a 25% off sale and that would alienate a loyal customer of some years such as myself. You may also want to include your referral link in the main title as only the OP's is allowed in a GMG thread as well.

    • Are you trying to buy games from GMG behind a proxy? A number of users have has issues buying from their work PCs etc.
Try from your home PC and see if it fails.
      :)

      (Not a rep btw)

Same issue here, tried to purchase a DLC for borderlands yesterday with both paypal and a mastercard.

hopefully will be fixed before this deal tomorrow because Dishonored for half price looks good :)

Contact them to fix it, the problem won't fix itself.

  • Deal is now live.

  • wow, 20% off code works on Dishonoured, on top of the 50% sale.

Brings total cost from $60 to $22.50.

    • except it didn't accept my PayPal - says that PayPal reject because it likely thinkgs GMG is a 'gaming (i.e. gambling)' website.

      Trying now with Visa!

      Visa = Fail!

      • You behind a proxy?
Someone has having the same errors and it turned out it was his work proxy that was the issue.
        Trying from home worked.
        :)

        • hmm tried both PayPal and Visa on my phone.

PayPal i get the 'rejection due to gambling website' type error.

Via visa (on both work and mobile phone), it comes up with the page stating bank wants to Verify the transaction, there is a white box (probably Verififed by Visa), but nothing loads in the box, and then a moment later GMG loads the next page stating the transaction could not be verified.

        • Ah… sorry, no idea then.

You could log a support ticket, they might still allow you to purchase the game at the discount even after the promotion. Down side is that they usually take a good 2-3 weeks to respond to support requests.
          :\

        • might try again later today at home! thanks for help

        • No problem! Hope it works for you.
Worst case ask for some Ozbarg help and I'm sure someone could buy it for you. Though that is always a risk on both parties.

        • Good luck, I've tried at work (with a proxy) and home (no proxy) and also via a remote proxy in the US and it didn't work with any combination of tries, the time I spent trying to get it working I could have bought it full price from Steam and come out ahead!

      • In previous GMG purchases I've found the site just doesn't work with my credit card. All sorts of issues.

I've resorted to PayPal in past transactions and it's worked for me. Today I just went straight to PayPal and worked fine. I had some store credit too, so ended up paying AUD$15.49 for Dishonored - pretty sweet!

Good luck with your payment issues. The only time I've contacted GMG support they were pretty helpful so it's probably worth asking them if you keep having problems.

  • I don't get an option to buy at all, and if I try to force it by going to the buy URL I simply get a 404.
