  • Wow, great price on the wustof knives. I have the 10 piece set - love them. Just bought my mother in law a smaller set - would have gotten her this one tho at that price!!! Peter's have this set at $499.

  • Good price, but unfortunately I'm looking at getting Wusthof Classic 15-piece Premier Knife Block Sets with Forged Steak Knives.
    http://www.cutleryandmore.com/wusthof-classic/premier-knife-…

By the way, the price for your set still shows $699.95, not $299.

    • The sale only starts tomorrow in most stores (including online). All CBD stores around the country started their sale today.

      • Ah, ok should've paid a bit more attention as to what i was reading i guess. :)

      • chasing the shun cooks knife.. melbourne central store knocked me back and told me interstate only and they'll start the sale tomorrow. slightly shattered, i actually chef nearby there and stopped in before work.. would have been too easy

Has anyone ever seen a knife block being sold at RRP? Ridiculous.

I have the wusthof classic set myself. It's brilliant

  • Anyone own / have an opinion on the Bismarck set? I can't seem to find another retailer for a price comparison…

  • I have Wusthof classic set as will, it is brillant for the first year. Then it needs sharpening.

Later I bought a Nirey KE-280, and it makes normal knives like Wusthof ones. Just that Wusthof knives is better balance and good to handle. For sharpness, any knives can have Wusthof's sharpness with a good sharpener.

    • I've had my Wustof's for 6 years now. Mine are very sharp still with regular maintenance with the steel. They also come with a "lifetime" warranty - which I've been told is 25 years (by King of Knives) or 10 years (by Peter's).

      • +2

I don't think the warranty covers sharpness.

My friend had his knife broken. After Wustof examine it is not due to misuse, e.g. bending, dropping, they gave him a new one after 2 weeks.

    • If your knives don't need sharpening after one year, then you're not using them enough. All knives need sharpening

  • Good price on knives..will definitely investigate further

      Surely you have a lightsaber?

      • Yeah, but it's useless in the kitchen.

  • They have some great sales …. this one is pretty average in comparison to most.

The wiltshire pull-apart scissors are incredibly handy in the kitchen.

  • I think Costco have those for 230 or something, can someone confirm?

    • Its $330 at Costco

  • Leatherman Wave: 50% off yet still $37 more than I paid including delivery from Amazon!
