I got one from JB at $878 yesterday. $848 after JB Perks $30 applied. JB HiFi offered price match against other retailer. Also, I purchsed $800 Ultimate gift card from shop back with 5% cashback. So, I actually paid $808 ($760+48). I found there is another way. Coles offers 15% bonus for Myer gift card (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/855900). If we buy 4 x $200, it will be $920. Myer currently charges $975 for Gen5. So, total cost will be $855.
Who did you price match with to get it for $878?
one retailer had $878 promotion by yesterday. Their price was back to $978 today.
Shame as I am unable to find it cheaper anywhere and they wont price match with eBay :(

I found Joyce Mayne offered $878 by 16 July. I asked JB to match the price. JB accepted it. I think it was last minute chance. I also can't find $8xx any more. But, if you are Amazon prime member, you can buy $950 Ultimate gift card at $874. Then use gift card and $30 perks. Add 1x $500 Everyone and 1 x $450 Everyone. Cart will show $874.

The dyson is 3.5x more powerful.
$3.5x the price though. It depends on if you have high pile carpet, and/or pet hair you need to get off it.
