Take it to the next level.
Think about how our entire modern civilisation got to where it is now simply because mankind discovered an abundant source of energy and that eventually that source of energy will run out or become too costly to extract. Then think about how that will affect all our modern processes from agriculture to transport to manufacturing.
Thanks for the movie rec though.
There was a show I was enjoying until it got cancelled https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolution_(TV_series)
Osko depends on Windows?! How stupid are the banks? And so do ATMs. Though not long ago they still used OS/2 Warp.
Notice how the internet has been unaffected by this? because the Elders of the Internet are not morons.
Zombie Apocalypse has started.
Too late now.
OK, Zombie Apocalypse confirmed as a false alarm.
All good now.
Latest advice is to keep letting it BSOD, restart, BSOD, select to restart in recovery, and do this loop until it finally stays on login screen (no more bsod).
If you have a ethernet port/USB dongle it should be faster than on wifi.
Heaps of reports this has worked. One colleague calculated it rebooted sixty something times till it stopped BSODing.
Good luck all.
This might be what Coles are doing, lol… I went into one yesterday, most the self-serve checkouts were working but 2 were in the BSOD boot loop, I wondered why they didn't just pull the plugs…
Same thing I saw Friday night yeah. Thankfully it was quiet
The airport was a huge mess…….
No difference to normal then :)
We were impacted pretty badly. Luckily it was just before going into the weekend. Imagine having this outage during start of the week or middle of the week even. Took a while to bring things online but was pretty good exercise. Goes to show how important it is to test updates before rolling it out.
I was delayed about an hour or so at Singapore airport boarding on Scoot.
At the gate.. they had to manually check each scanned boarding pass.
Just got round to watching this a couple of nights ago and told my wife after it that a major tech disaster was likely to be the next 'covid'.
She laughed of course, I was being ridiculous but yesterday it wasn't as funny to her all of a sudden…
