    For one time use PLA or PETG yes, can't really be washed and reused though

      I've made cookie cutters out of PLA and washed them heaps of times

        Because the imperfect surface can be a breeding ground for bacteria and if the object is hollow and the internal voids not watertight, even more so. I mean you do you, that's the logic I've heard and wouldn't personally recommend anyone to do otherwise

            @Dvbargain: Indeed, but you only need to add moisture and the minute nooks and crannies can harbour mould and bacteria. My drink bottle lid gets grotty if I leave it too long and that's smooth as by comparison
