1. Set up an Indian Apple ID using your AU mobile number to verify.

2. Login into an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, using an Indian Apple ID by going to settings > Your name > Media and purchases.

3. Buy Apple gift cards from Amazon India using your AU amazon account. Enter an Indian address (make sure indian address is selected) and use an international fee free card. Then load gift cards to your Apple ID.

4. Open up NBA app and it will give you a prompt to subscribe with Indian pricing, without even logging into an account. You can also login into your existing NBA account/create a new NBA account before subscribing, if you prefer to use it on other devices.

5. Choose a plan of your liking

  FWIW, I've been on South African Rand for a couple of years and it keeps renewing fine, and works as usual.

  It's $73 now in AUD. But I will live with that as it keeps working.

  i signed up using this method last year. how does renewal work - does it automatically debit you for the amount of rupees on the one year anniversary date? I don't seem to have received a renewal e-mail.

    it will try to use the payment method on your Indian Apple ID which isn't going to work. I had bought more Indian Apple gift cards last night to load it into my Apple ID as my debit date is 28th Oct.

      I ended up receiving an e-mail from Apple stating that there 'is a problem with your payment method which may prevent the renewal of your subscription. to avoid losing access, please update your payment information'.

      so i've added more gift card value.

    I fixed this by enabling ipv6 in my router setting. make sure your ISP offers dynamic ip.

  Hey guys. My sub got auto renewed today via turkey App Store. But it’s showing before message:
  "Group: out of country blocked because client is neither in home country nor in content portability region
  Code: 7027"
  However if I use my mobile data then it works normally, is there something I can do to my home wifi to fix this?

    Your home wifi may be banned. What ISP and have you tried rebooting your router?

          @sssbp: I don’t think so. Searching on whirlpool looks like there’s the thread for Superloop customer having the same issue.
          Will try enabling Ipv6 and dynamic ip to try later on
