When it comes to pressure cookers, anything other that an Instant Pot is a waste of money.

Well, maybe not you, but a lot of people look for feedback and suggestions when they're about to buy something.

I've owned many pressure cookers and instant pot is the only one I rate well. It's durable, cooks well.

          • @Commodore64: I've owned 2, both performed the exact same function (there's plenty of clones). Instant pot is better for me because of the stainless steel pot

Biggest gripe is the lackluster sear/saute function… Solved using a seperate pan over a higher heat burner… Had I known I would've gotten the pro version where you can use the innner pot on the stove.

        • Yeah that looks pretty pimp

i have an instapot, advantage is the stainless steel inner bowl so don’t need to worry about scratching, etc, vs many other brands that have non stick aluminium coated inner bowl.

big deal with the phillips seems to be auto pressure release and they reckon 3d heating, so heating plates on side also, for $169 not sure it will do anything i can’t already with my instapot and panasonic rice cooker, bought one let’s see if it changes my life.

  • I would get a model that does Sous Vide. We do our steaks in our InstantPot and they come out quite well. A lot less fussing around than our Anova.

  • use it everyday, very happy with it.

  • Does this or the Instapot does pressurised deep frying?

    • +1

Pressurised deep fryers at home is trickey, you are dependent on produce to release enough steam to pressurise. and yet enough hot oil to crisp in what is 6 mins in normal deep fryer … I just use normal deep fryer ..

  • amazon sucks shows OOS after logged in.

  • One great buy! It's difficult to figure out the presets as they are not clear. But it came with a sticker. Saute isn't great but pressure cooking is good.

  • Dropped to $149 with prime
