Kidstuff - Free $5 for Signing up as New Customer to Spend Online. (No Minimum Spend) Free Shipping Plus 15% off

news1897

Good morning,

Kidstuff is offering free 100 reward points which is equal to $5 worth of credit when signing as a new customer. If you choose to subscribe to their newsletter, you get another 50 reward points and an email with the 15% off code of news1897. However, credit only can be redeemed with every 100 reward points.

The website is a little lagging and their checkout page is terrible, I cannot get the 'place order' and 'add coupon' button to work on the final checkout page and ended up buying something more than $5 and checkout through PayPal.

Tips to checkout with the website faster:

  1. Go to my account and save your address after sign up. The website is not always responding to free shipping option to appear when entering address in the final checkout page

  2. If you are using the 15% off code, add the code in 'view basket' page instead of the final checkout page.

  3. If you can't get the Place Order button to work in the last page, maybe do what I did, buying something more than $5 and checkout through PayPal.

This could potentially a freebie post if anyone can get the place order button to work.

Lastly, just a little favour to ask, please PM me your email address before signing up and I will send an email invitation to you. Every email invitation with successful sign up will give me 100 reward points. Thank you.

    • Yes same here…must of been ozbargained

  • Marked as expired!

  • OzBargained.

Just got an email from them:

I am not sure how you placed this offer on your site. We won't we honoring some the 100's of your unscrupulous who are abusing our offer.

While this deal is still valid, you no longer be able to claim your rewards point against low value items.

    • How do they expect to do that when we didn't go against any terms or conditions?

I hope they know what the applicable law is…

Wow, WTF? What kind of business says that. Also I find it hard to believe they are going to come up with a legitimate excuse to not honour these purchases.

It just makes them look stupid as hell. They made it so all new accounts by DEFAULT have a $5 coupon, and they just happen to sell $6 products. As if they wouldn't foresee this happening.

  • Anyone received their order yet?

    • My order still says "Processing" on their website

I can see the money has been taken from my credit card.

I also note their website says "Guaranteed delivery before Christmas if you order before December 16th"

Lets see if they live up to their guarantee.

  • hmm money taken out but no messages yet on whether it's been sent, just says processing

  • Still "processing', I might consider open dispute soon. Maybe this is what they want trying to not honour our purchase. Let's see if we can write some review for them!

  • Mine got sent (and received an email confirmation) after I followed it up with them. I had ordered about $20 worth of stuff :)

They told me that my order had been "accidentally missed" after the system was "abused".

  • Mine is still "pending"…
How reliable is their system in processing orders?

    • Given that they think their system was abused, I doubt they are looking to honour any of the orders. Its pretty poor customer service, given that they have our money.

If they aren't going to honor the purchases, they should have initiated a full refund and sent an email communication out.

Received an email today as follows:

    "Dear Customer,

Recently you placed an order at kidstuff.com.au. As we were unable to fulfil your order, we will be offering you a full refund via your method of payment.

    Merry Christmas & Kind regards"

    • Did you get your refund? Mine hasn't come in yet.

      • No, still says pending

        • Looks like our money is stolen

  • Are we being robbed? Anyone get their refund (or their order) yet? What do I have to do?

    • If you paid by paypal, open dispute and escalate if no response.

  • I got my refund. Just email them [email protected]
