Step 1:Secure Your Exclusive $50 Discount
From Sep 11 to Sep 24, 2024, purchase a $1 coupon that can be redeemed for a $50 discount on the Altas PT Ultra

Such a convoluted process. Just take $50 off automatically rather than make people go through multiple annoying steps.

Step 3:Your Altas PT Ultra is on the way
Please note the terms and conditions; Reolink reserves the right for the final explanation

Final explanation of what? T&Cs should be unambiguous.

      Price range AU $ 320-AU $ 370

Also $320 seems to be the lowest price?

      • Yes.

        • +1

Sounds like a $1 gamble in hopes of getting it for $320, $340 or at worst $370.

          • @m9: $320 will be camera only, $370 camera with solar panel

      • -1

        listed usd 200-250

        Reolink exchange rate 200/320 = 0.625

Reserve Bank Exchange Rate = 0.67

    • Because it may face the condition where stock isn't available );Thank you for the reminder, it's greatly appreciated.

      • +3

The marketing team for this should be fired, out of a cannon, into the sun

        • +3

Totally agree! I believe the battery life of the Altas PT Ultra can record the entire process until we reach the sun.

    • +1

Might be the temu approach - make the customer invest so much time and effort to get a discount that they feel they absolutely need to use it the voucher otherwise lose all that time already spent.

  • So you need to charge the battery every 8 days? Or does the solar panel expand on that time? Where does it store the data locally on the camera or can it link to a NVR or something?

    • 12W Solar Panel: 5 minutes of charging, 24 hours of working life; one day of charging, 240 days of working life.
Storage: External Reolink Home Hub can reach up to 1TB of storage space; External Reolink Home Hub Pro can reach up to 16TB of storage space, battery life can be increased to 16 months;Up to 512GB SD;The battery cameras don't store to a local NVR.

      • Thanks for the info thats good to know I was worried about someone stealing the camera and also the footage if its stored in the camera lol

        • You're welcome. I really like discussing our products with you guys.

      • @dealbest

Is the battery removable and replaceable after it dies, say, after two years?

If the battery can’t be replaced, it could be a costly investment for a single camera, as a dead battery might mean having to replace the entire device.

        • Not at this stage

Upon release though someone may disassemble and see if it's easy to replace

  • +1

Any idea when the Battery Video Doorbell will be available in Australia?

It's already up at Amazon DE via AU

    • Mid to end sept according to Reolink Facebook group

  • You say smart home integration, does this camera work with Blue Iris? Do they support ONVIF protocol?

    • Doesn't support ONVIF but is compatible with Google Assistant, Alexa, and Reolink home hub series.

  • +2

I like using Reolink but I wonder when they will update the software for the Trackmix or the Argus PT so it works with the HomeHub.
I bought the HomeHub in June based on the update schedule and promised compatibility for Trackmix and the Argus PT. Now the compatibility page just says To Be Anounced. Previously it stated End of July 2024 then it was End of August 2024.

Leaves a lot to question about the promise of any future software updates for its hardware… a bit hesitant to commit more into the ecosystem

    • Thank you for sharing your Reolink story! I'll make sure to pass this on to the development team so they can give it the attention it deserves.
