    That lens will not autofocus on that body. Terrible terrible combination. Not really a surprise from this type of store though…

      But that is a AF-S Len~
      Is that AF-S means AUTOFOCUS????

        hi,

        i am a canon and nikon shooter (just incase someone start a crappy my camera is better then yours war).

        AF-S for nikkon is autofocus with the silent wave motor built in the lens.
        VR/IS = vibration reduction/ image stabilisation - able to tolerate some shake (the shake really depending on how steady your hands are, eg: some people can go down to a shutter speed of 1/8th of a second and get a crisp clear picture with VR/IS, some can't…)

      I believe (18-55mm VR)is more about taking common short distance photos and comes with auto focus and vibration reduction abilities.
      (70-300mm)is more about long distance (tele) pictures no auto focus, and no VR. I can recommend tripod to be used in most cases.

      Well, lens is everything, you can always purchase better lenses. This is only for bargain hunters.

      If one thing I would worry, it would be some reports of Shopping Square may have delayed delivery and poor customer services.

      agreed with sabric explanation. shoppingsquare has been known for delayed delivery but there is nothing wrong with the combination if you are in the market for a dslr and has check up on the specs + price

      70-300mm is still a good lens even if you cant AF with D3200. It provides you with a good telelens and its not a huge issue to manually focus with these lens anyhow as you shouldnt be doing "snaps" with this.

    The picture shows the AF 70-300 G lens that will not autofocus on D3200 body.
    The only Nikon 70-300 lens that can do autofocus on the consumer bodies is the AF-S 70-300 G VR only.
    that lens alone is $400+ iirc :)
