Yeah international vs AU stock, $220 is very good

    • some fakes are making the rounds

worth being cautious if deals aren't backed with history/reviews/rep

Compared to the 5700X that was $159 recently if you don't have the good fortune to be playing with a 4090 like every comparison video on Youtube apparently has, is this worth double the price?

    • I have 5600 (5700x just few percent faster in gaming) with 6800, there are few games that my 6800 used below 90% or even 70% in 1440p (because my CPU). For gaming, if you have better GPU than 6800 and games at 1440p or 1080p, I will get 5700x3d from aliexpress at $220-$240. 5700x at $159 are excellent price, but 5700x3d are 2nd best AM4 gaming CPU. Next upgrade will be new platform, while you might still thinking upgrade to 5700x3d when 5700x is holding back your GPU.

          Great choice for new platform.

  • I have 5600cpu, 6750xt gpu gaming at 1440p. Will 5700x3d make much difference?

      I wouldn't bother… 15% upgrade is 100% not worth it.

I ended up going from a AM4 5700X to a AM5 7600 *(on a B650M AORUS ELITE AX ICE) with a RX6800 16GB and i don't notice any difference in games but my general windows experiance is way better.. things open faster and close faster and its just really snappy..

      maybe going from 32gb DDR4 3600 CL16 to 32gb DDR5 6000 CL30 made the difference… or from 4.6Ghz to 5.1Ghz

      1080p gaming = upgrade
1440p gaming = depend on games, I guess most games no difference to few % upgrade.
4K gaming = upgrade your GPU instead.
The best way to check, get MSI afterburner or HWinfo ect app, if your GPU is used near 99% during gaming, faster CPU will not give you much fps, few at most. Get new GPU instead.

    • went from 3600 to 5800x3d on a 6700xt

      massive upgrade, ridiculous really

gpu is now holding me back so thats' the next upgrade

i think the am4 platform with these x3d chips will last a few more years with upgraded GPUs

check out earlier comments for the 5700x3d for $220, looks legit

btw don't need fast ram with these high cache 3d chips, they perform well with 3200 - 3600mhz ddr4

you're getting very little gaming value jumping up to ddr5 + chip + motherboard, better off going 3d and then eventually upgrading the gpu imho
